    Since some energy can be extracted from mixing salt water and fresh water, it would be possible that this energy (in terms of water temperature) would be missed by fish.

    Most German people don't know the difference between a machine gun, an assault rifle and a submachine gun. They call all of those "machine guns" because they only have seen those in American movies (and the translators often don't know the difference either).

    It actually tells a lot about Germany vs USA.

    P.S. I have seen lots of machine guns - in a museum.

    You friend is probably a liar. I've never seen a German policeman with anything larger than a pistol and I live in Germany since 1993.

    Dude, 9x19mm is still much better than, for example, 9x17mm (.380 acp for you americans) or 7.62x25mm TT, with former being pretty weak and latter being great at penetrating body armour but pretty much without any stopping power whatsoever.

    Never played Crysis, but I have a dual Radeon 4670 in my machine and the setup is too slow to play any part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in 1280x1024 without stuttering a lot.

    Actually, ATI cards supported video acceleration since Mach64 which was released in 1994. 3D Rage II (1997) already supported iDCT and motion compensation for MPEG-2 playback. Nvidia implemented basic MPEG acceleration with Riva TNT (1998) and full MPEG-2 acceleration with Geforce 4 MX in 2002, 5 years later than ATI.

    Wrong. Comintern has pretty much died with Lenin. Stalin decided that isolatonist policy was the best. Europe was safe from Soviet invasion because Stalin only wanted to restore the borders to the state before 1917.

    Russians couldn't ally with the stauch anticommunist western allies in 1939 yet. Especially not after what those allies have done to the Soviet Union in 1918-1920.
    As for invading several innocent and neutral countries, USSR just tried to get the territories lost in the First World War back (and not even all of them).

    The problem is that PayPal doesn't work in Russia, they've got their own online payment systems (WebMoney, Yandex Money and so on). While you can convert from PayPal to the Russian online payment systems, the fees are outrageous (about 30%).

    In France, you can't even wear a small catholic cross around your neck to a public school, unless it's well hidden under your shirt.

    It is a good thing, really. First, a religious symbol isn't speech. Second, religion is a private thing of anyone. No reason to demonstratively exibit it to everyone. And third, a truly secular country doesn't endorce a particular religion. France seems to be a truly secular country to me.
