Not a troll, just being honest. I have always wondered, why exactly, because for me, comic books are for those who are literacy-challenged and/or don't have a developed fantasy. Nerds should be neither and rather go for real books.

Chiropractors know well how to adjust dislocated discs and this is probably what has happened to you. Not every orthopaedic surgeon does that because this procedure can be dangerous to the spine and generally the disc goes back by itself after a while. I used to often dislocate a disc while playing badminton which pretty much crippled me because of the pain. One doctor just set a massage machine to my back, the other palpated my spine, found the place and pressed on it. Then it was the same as you describe - a short amount of heavy pain and then the pain slowly goes away.
That depends on your requirements, wishes and habits so I can only speak for myself. My HTC Touch HD together with the software I use performs somewhere between "good enough for casual use" and "dear god, this is a dream come true".
When an LP is scratched (or dirty) to the point where you'd notice at all, a CD wouldn't even play.
I have grown up with vinyl records. My first one was Magic Fly by Space (still love that album). Pops come from dust and are pretty much inevitable and a scratch that makes the CD barf for half a second would make the record repeat the same round ever and ever again.

I was talking about real live performances. Most bands suck live. Notable exception - Loreena McKennitt. She often sounds even better live than on a recording. But such cases are very, very rare.
The next day we met the neighbors. "Man", they said, "your band kicks ass!" That same album on CD does NOT sound anywhere near as good, and nobody would ever confuse it with a live performance.

It is a valid opinion. Some people do want to carry lots of devices around. And those who don't wouldn't buy a Zune anyway but rather a modern Windows Mobile phone - they can do pretty much everything nowadays.
Windows Mobile phones are kings when it comes to the screen size and resolution (Toshiba TG01 with a 4.1" WVGA display). The second place goes to the HTC Touch HD (device has got the same size as the iPhone, but with a 3.8" WVGA display)
So you had to spend 6 months disabling copy&paste, tethering, MMS, multitasking, A2DP and other features so that your Windows Mobile phone behaves more like an iPhone?
You forget that Russia was one of the losers of the first world war, lost huge territories, had a civil war from 1918 until 1923, a polish invasion 1919-1921 and an actual famine in the early thirties - just the time Khruschev mentioned.
