If you use just a number for identification, it will be grossly misused. It is crazy to oppose a real ID card but use a much weaker (in terms of security) SSN as identification means and suddenly a baseless fear of certain forms of identification opens the way to very bad forms of identity theft.
The german Heyne Verlag used to insert adds with a similar technique into early BattleTech books. There was only one such add in them but it was so obtrusive that I swore never to buy the advertised product - an instant soup of some kind.
Never made them - a PDA with a broken screen is nothing special. Got four of them somewhere in a drawer, three of them the same model (HTC Universal). That doesn't say though, that this device has got weak points - had a HTC Universal which I dropped from the cockpit of an Actros lorry strait down on asphalt and except of a scratch on the case nothing happened.
Naproxen is a NSAID like diclofenac. Not good for the heart and not good for the stomach. You can lower the danger of stomach problems by taking a PPI pill or at least if you eat something rich on calcium, a cheese or a glas of milk maybe to lower the acidity levels of the stomach contents.
As to codeine, better avoid it, really. If you want your pain killers work best, try following: take the normal/low dosis of the pain killer of your choice. If the pain is still there after 40-50 minutes, take twice of the dosis. That works nearly every time and helps for 5 hours at least.
If it somehow doesn't work, then you have to change the medicament, but don't take an other medicament immediately but rather after 6 hours or so. If you can't stand the pain while you have to wait, try to get an orgasm (it is a very good pain killer but doesn't last long) and try to fall asleep directly after that (you don't feel that much pain while you sleep).
(just FYI, I am not a medical doctor but my mother is).
Tylenol has never worked for me, even Tylenol with codeine (percocet?). If I'm prescribed Tylenol with codeine, I have to take an aspirin with it to make it work. Perhaps they'll bring back Darvon (aspirin and codeine).
What for? Paracetamol is against light pain and light fever. If it doesn't work for you, don't take it. The reason it is still on themarket is that it is very safe taken in low quantities, doesn't hurt the stomach and doesn't increase the risk of bleeding.
If you need something to relief stronger pain and swelling, take a NSAID like diclofenac or ibuprofen, but never on an empty stomach and be careful with your dosage. Even better is to take them together with a PPI pill, as my mother - a medical doctor - always sais.
All NSAIDs (including aspirin) are bad for the stomach, but only if you take it in a wrong way. If you misuse them (like your friend Charlie has done it) you get what you deserve.
And by the way, codeine sucks and is addictive. If you want to have something against dry cough, take pentoxyverine or theobromine. If you have got wet cough, taking a cough supressant is a very bad idea, especially when you mix it with a mucolytic agent or drink a lot of water as you should - it might kill you in your sleep. That is why you should avoid combination medicaments.
You should try IGO for turn to turn navigation. It has got backlight profiles like backlight always on, same settings as standard windows mobile and battery saving mode (backlight goes on for a couple of seconds the same time the next announcement comes).
If people didn't buy and sell used games they would make more money.
How's that? By some kind of magic?
People who buy used games cannot afford the new game price anyway and people who buy new games know that they can sell the game and get some money back. If they couldn't, chances are they wouldn't buy the game in first place. So no, if people didn't buy and sell used games, game industry would make even less money.
Now, really. All the fusion research being done everywhere in the world, all the research of alternative energy solutions because the world demands for more and more electricity, all those blackouts... is just fun, nothing serious.
You basically believe in deus ex machina. I have to disappoint you, reality doesn't work that way. If you don't invest money into recycling technology and research now, no invention would magically appear later.
Ha ha copper is "so abundand" that rising copper prices alone tripled the Metrorapid magrail project price in Germany over three years, killing the project.
Also, copper "so abundand" that people risk their lives stealing railway electric wiring so they can get good money at the scrap metal merchant.
Insightful my arse. Most time the CPU just idles. A decent PC from 5 years ago is still good enough for nearly all tasks. And speaking of Atari 2600, it was sold for 13 years. NES was sold for 12 years, completely obliterating your point.
I used to work for some waste management companies. Recycling makes lot of sense and while it does create pollution, it creates much less pollution than producing new raw materials. This is especially true for all kinds of metal, paper, glas and more expensive forms of plastics (like polycarbonate).
Since the raw material supply is finite, recycling will return even more money in the future than it does now already - and 2009 technologies allow recycling to be pretty profitable in first place. Thus it makes sense to invest in recycling technologies now (or being caught with your trousers down in the future).
The customs fee are not that high. 5% or so. But when you import, you'll have to pay import turnover tax, which is the same as VAT so it looks like the custom fee is very high.
Maybe you haven't listened carefully. The pilot states that the barrel roll probably won't work in a real A320 because it is not certified for aerobatics (means that the airplane might acquire structural damage).
Switching the flight augmentation off and going to the direct law works perfectly fine in a real airbus, it is just not recommended.
It is not a philisophical debate. Boeing's reason for building in a "weak" fly by wire is that they were very late building a fly by wire airplane and hadn't any previous expirience with it. Thus they were afraid to give the computers full control of the aircraft. Now Boeing has got enough expirience and their Dreamliner will have full computer control.
Claiming that it was about philosophy was just a marketing stunt.

As I said, anectodal evidence goes both ways.
Not that difficult. Shall I name a few device names?
- Pharos 535v
- HP iPaq 111
- HP iPaq 211 (would go for that one, 4" VGA screen rocks)
Motorola/Symbol still make lots of them but they are way too expensive, and not as robust as they look like.
The used market should be huge.
And by the way, is it really the case that you cannot buy a Windows Mobile phone without a contract? In Germany it wouldn't be a problem at all.
On the other hand, one of my colleagues dropped it to a floor from his desk. Now the screen is full of cracks.
Anecdotal evidence goes both ways.
Any Windows Mobile PDA will do actually.

Maybe your sister should have told you not to drink that much alcohol in first place. Makes a lot of more sense that way.
According to Condoleezza Rice it is not torture when it is authorised by the president so DHMO must be safe then.

Cannot speak for a shaver because i wet shave, but my electric toothbrush had two AA size NiCD cells.
Doesn't have to be that way. In Germany, everyone have to own an ID document but noone is forced to carry it.
Better that way than having the SSN misused for all kinds of identification (in Germany only your employer needs to know the SSN).
How's that? By some kind of magic?

Somewhere a village is missing an idiot.
So, where is Mr. Fusion?
You basically believe in deus ex machina. I have to disappoint you, reality doesn't work that way. If you don't invest money into recycling technology and research now, no invention would magically appear later.
It already happens in many places.
Ha ha

Sorry, but you are talking bullshit.

Remakes of good games would sell perfectly fine.
If somebody would remake Deus Ex and MechWarrior 2 with updated graphics and levels I would buy both games immediately.

In the GP example, the VAT is already added.
