this wasn't german, this was bavarian inquisition. bavarians aren't real germans (actually most germans would vote for giving bavaria to austria as a gift but the austrians don't like the idea).
well, parent used russia for example and the russian history of the second world war was quite different (they had 5 times more fatalities than whole population of denmark counted back then)
they want. there are a couple of politicians who scream right now "forbid the shooters" but their screams are part populism and part demand for a bribe.
first i wanted to point out that a national id works pretty much everywhere else in the world without the problems described by you. but then i remembered that for example universal healthcare works pretty much everywhere else, too.
Brian: Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't NEED to follow ME, you don't NEED to follow ANYBODY! You've got to think for yourselves! You're ALL individuals! The Crowd (in unison): Yes! We're all individuals! Brian: You're all different! The Crowd (in unison): Yes, we ARE all different! Man in Crowd: I'm not... The Crowd: Shhh!
usa and russia were fed the same propaganda, have pretty much the same level of stupid nationalism, a comparable gap between rich and pood, high crime rates, anything-goes capitalism, and until about two years ago even the same currency.
why shouldn't it? people are the same everywhere. anyway, russia and usa have much more in common than you can imagine - and much more common than any of them has with europe.
well, many places in europe (with virtually no legal gun ownership) are in fact much safer than the usa. and the cops aren't that trigger happy either.
actually with the new european health insurance card you can go to a doctor in any of 29 countries if you need one during the visit of any of this countries or if you have prearranged it with your health insurance company.

most better midi sequencers will do.
i use guitar pro for that.
skills which are useful for work are taught in vocation schools. in the normal schools the people learn not for work but for life.
and speaking for the ussr (born and went to school there) state-run education system is really efficient.
the state-run education system works fine everywhere else, proving you wrong.
actually it worked for the soviets. the soviet education system was very good and schooled the kids much faster.

because.
practical research won't work without basic research.

that's why i live in the eu.
why shouldn't it? people are the same everywhere.

shooting rather scares all witnesses, who then never see anything.
has nothing to do with being a criminal mastermind, but with being russian. i just know how all this shit happens.
actually the getting away should be even easier - a cadaver won't talk to the police.
so basically you are saying that there is something seriously wrong with usa and an arm race with criminals won't help anyway, right?
well, most important downside is that the criminals also arm up.
if i am a criminal and i want to mug you and must assume that you are armed, i just play han solo with you (han shot first, i would too).

that disproves your theory.

if you cannot afford the complex-and-expensive knee surgery one day you'll lose your pride quite fast and cry for a nanny state.
besides, in europe you can also go to another insurer if you don't like your healthcare. but all insurers provide basic services by law.
think of these pictures als icons of your favourite window manager, an allegory more or less.
i think it is france, not netherlands because afair dutch license plates are a bit shorter and dutch road signs aren't white but yellow.
civilization always bored me to hell.
