Wow, what are you some kind of internet visonary? I feel that I should pay you a huge consultancy fee for letting me read such thoughtful and original musings on the future of computing. Just the sort of thing that might make me invest a lot of VC cash into a new internet startup.

See, what is truely standing in the way of Linux being "Ready For Primetime" and in a deep-sense being scalable to the datacenter, is its utter lack of support for keyboards. Imagine the trillions of keyboards out there without anyone typing on them... If only those bearded gurus would for once think about the computer user, and how they neeed a keyboard. I know these Matrix-like wizards can control their computers with hand gestures and archane voice commands, but I don't have the time to memorize an bunch strange movements and commands just so I can write some exel macros. Some of you might think it a communist conspiracy to destroy the fantastic Keyboard Industry, but I find the chances of that being true to be at most 40/60.

Since nobody on slashdot has a mainframe, and MABYE a couple of them ever worked on one, I'd say what slashdoters thinks about linux and VM combo would be of fucking little value. However, that does not mean that Sun is something other than a lying, FUDing bunch of self-serving microsoft-stype monopoly wannabes! (with a fat kernel and sludgy OS, a circa 1992 desktop, who's only saving grace is that they produce quality hardware, grossly expensive but you get what you pay for)
