By reference spec I mean component placement on the board, not reference drivers. They're very fond of moving vregs and changing cap placement.
And yes they are great at respecting their warranty, but Evga has a better warranty.
Good cards for the average user, but they never had a competitive edge imo.
Never liked BFG cards very much, they were the worst at maintaining nVidia reference spec and they didn't have a very watercooling friendly warranty which is a problem for anyone who mods.
Implying truth through lack of evidence is a very common (and one of the simplest) fallacies.
Totally unrelated to whether the earth is round as it hasb een proven in many many ways to be true. We have enormous amounts of evidence to prove that.
We have no evidence to prove humans and dinosaurs didn't coexist. Not that I believe they did but it isn't something you can prove...
without any sort of fluid movement the board still heats up really fast. I recommend either putting pumps in it or placing some fans in it to move the fluid around, even better if you can force the fluid through a radiator.
I gotta disagree on Assassin's Creed, it is a faiy intensive game, I have a Pentium D clocked at 3.4 6hz and a 7600GT... and while that is not a "awesome system" it is within 4 years old and struggles with Assassin's Creed.
Second, single slot variations of most cards are available with a smaller heat sink. Also I liquid cool so almost anything i put in will only take one slot. Of course there are the dual GPU cards as well which offer better performance that the single card counterparts in SLI/crossfire. It is a matter of preference at this point. SLI is definitely a mature technology (not as much can be said for tri-SLI)
being angry and rational are not mutually exclusive. I think you had some good points but the way you posed them makes it very hard to swallow. I think you could get a lot more done with better wording
how the hell did you get modded insight full this is garbage. Maybe if you would learn to state your opinions in polite/calm ways then you might make more friends.. or at least persuade more people.
Currently you just sound like a moronic tool that no one would want to debate.
I would argue that for someone that just wants to check email and browse the web, certain Linux disto are probably even with Windows.
I remember once installing Red Hat (Core 3 I think??) after having not used Red Hat for a long time, and being surprised how easy it had gotten. It was easier than installing either XP or Vista. Once your up most everything is gonna work that you need for normal web browsing/email checking.
I think this is fairly easily demonstrated by the current popularity of Ubuntu and Asus EEEEEEEEE PC
AFAIK the OSX EULA explicitly states that it cannot be run on hardware other than that supplied by Apple.
Sounds just like what you're attributing the M$.
If Psystar wins I think Apple will see a huge increase in revenue. The only thing Microsoft has going for it against Apple, is the ability to just throw something together and pop a Windows OS on it.

1) you forgot to close your parentheses 2) where did the "murderous intent" come from
I was home schooled and it was magnitudes harder than what I experienced in college...
Funny, she has more executive experience than either of the actual nominees!
If I wore myself out IRL is that cheating?
you know there are no actual "gold pieces" right?
nothing. foot in the door and door in the face are taught very early in public speaking. =)
you never took public speaking did you? =P

Flamebait? I think not. FF is an awesome browser that I use as my default. But it does look to be lagging!

I'm a single, childless, able-bodied male driver and I drive a full sized car, you insensitive clod.
Running it on my cracked version of XP, everything is in thai... I'd use it if i knew wtf I was trying to do!
"have are you a member of any sort of racing organization? Have you ever even been in a Solstice?"
... can you even get any more cliche than adding an "i" to the beginning of your name?
"no but I play iRacing"

You were surprised there was more heat? That seems like a major "DUH"
Also you aren't gonna see much gain if the cards are not equivalent.
60 people isn't very many.
I would just tag all equipment, and institute a curfew 10pm and later no equipment is to leave the main room. During the day tags must be compared.

No, this is like Chevy suing an autoshop that sells Their own chassis with LS1 swaps.
