Those are the problems they're trying to work out before it hits the market in any device.
Remember, just a few years ago OLED was just a curiosity with a very high failure rate, as was the case with high intensity LEDs and both were very expensive when they first came out and are now cheap, reliable and durable. Now both are commonplace, cheap, and very reliable. The same will be the case with flexible displays. I doubt that truly foldable displays will become reality but bendable/rollable definitely will. :)

  5. But... were they wearing shoes two sizes too small, where the heel has worn and can snag the floormat?

Or, were they sized perfectly, and brand-new, so that they aren't super slippery and don't snag the floormat?

I liked Mythbusters, but some of their methodologies are questionable.

  6. Same here. Chunky heels and wedges don't present this problem, but stilettos do. Changing shoes for driving is an inconvenience, sure, but getting into a collision (I refrain from using the word "accident" as most collisions are avoidable) is a bigger inconvenience.

  7. This is why if you're wearing stiletto heels, you should keep a pair of sneakers in the car for driving - or, at least drive barefoot (which IS legal, and safer than wearing heels) . Chunky/stacked heels and wedges don't present the same problem.

Yes, 99%+ of the time, you'll manage the pedals just fine, but that one time you don't when the heel catches on the rug, you'll regret not dealing with the inconvenience of changing your shoes when you get behind the wheel.

I don't understand why so many women don't get it. It's a simple concept and adds only seconds to your travels.

And yes, little things like this (disregarding safety in favor of fashion and convenience) does make you a bad driver.

    Correction:
It is a legally purchased COPY of that motion picture, which you don't have a license to, but do actually OWN. Even the adverts say "Own it on DVD or Blu-Ray today!"

Cut it with the "you only license it" bullshit because it's flat out untrue, no matter how many times you fucks repeat that lie it doesn't change the fact that purchasers actually do own the copy they purchased.

Also - what is so hard about making trailers a bonus feature on discs? Display a 5-second unskippable blurb inviting purchasers of the legally-distributed content "Hey we included movie trailers as free bonus features" - this removes the annoyance factor, it turns the ads into something marketable, and makes the product less user-hostile, and yet, the ads still get delivered. Everybody wins!

One thing they need to nix is that bogus FBI warning, because:

      * Most usenet, torrent, etc. releases prior to the disk release are internal leaks from the original source content - by your own fucking employees, not paying customers
      * I will still ignore the "warning," exercise my Fair Use and DMCA interoperability rights to bypass encryption and rip the disc to my phone and tablets, so the warning will be ignored
      * I already paid for the disc, damn it, why the fuck are you showing the warning to a paying customer?

Also nix the region encoding. I have over 600 discs (all legally purchased), and would buy more were it not for region encoding. There is a lot of anime I want, but unfortunately I need to turn to questionable streaming sites to watch them (unless I want to buy old worn-out blurry-as-crap shelf-hogging VHS taps on feeBay and hook up my DVRs again)

I've run multi-monitor systems since the mid-90s... since Windows 98 dealing with multiple monitors hasn't been a problem. Windows XP made it downright easy and it has only gotten far better since.

Linux - have been doing multiple monitors since around the same time. It used to be a chore, having to edit XF86Config, but with the switch to x11.org it became much easier, and now NVIDIA's control panel makes it stupid-easy (whereas ATI's Catalyst makes it just stupid... at least the last time I masochistically used an ATI/AMD card and found Catalyst still sucked)

I've been using multiple-output video cards (Starting with composite and S-video out) in the early '90.

Windows 7 and Linux are now smart enough to reconfigure on the fly - Oh you disconnected the monitor? Let me throw everything onto the remaining active screens, and then reenable the screen with the same resolution used previously when reconnected - the only remaining problem is on Windows, it will move all the shortcuts, folders, etc. on the desktop into the primary monitor's space and not relocate them to the original screen, but it's not anything that I need Windows 10 for as it isn't annoying enough to address given that Windows 10 comes with some insidious design defects (they are not bugs as they are "working as designed"). I've seen no problem with 2K and 4K monitor compatibility. Back in 2001 I was running dual 2048x1536 monitors on XP and Linux with no problem.

So much for Microsoft's tick-tock release cycle - there have been now several Windows releases I have no interest in running.

Carburetor... that's so cute, gramps! I'm just amazed that your K-car is still working. ;)

There are a lot more moving parts to an engine. There is far more than a couple bearings - your average timing chain alone is comprised of hundreds of parts (at least I hope your engine has a timing chain; timing belts are an inherently flawed design), and you forgot the valve, lifters, valve springs,(and rocker arms and pushrods if it's not OHC, which will introduce additional parts for adjusting valve lash plus additional moving parts if you're fortunate enough to have roller rocker arms), and for the items which do have roller bearings (most parts such as the crankshaft, rods, camshaft(s), etc. will be variations of sleeve bearings such as journal and thrust bearings) add in several more parts per.

Ignition parts don't move? You mentioned a carberator, so it's fair to assume that your hypothetical crapmobile has a distributor with a shaft connecting the rotor to the camshaft, you've got the points, the rotor, timing weights and springs, the vacuum advance, and more. Sure, the spark plugs, wires, and coil don't move (unless you want to be pedantic and point out that the coil winding will vibrate) but plenty of ignition components do move in older vehicles. In newer vehicles, only a couple of ignition components move (magnets for the hall effect sensor which are generally part of the crankshaft or valvetrain).

    2. They cut services and raise prices
