or maybe read the main page of his blog...http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/.. I love how he states the first thing they are going to do is paint the house red....

"A great statement as it is, but you better believe the first thing we're going to do is paint the house red. Please don't ask me why I'm going to paint it red. Like the beer keg, I think we can all agree it's just one of those things that has to be done."
The nice thing about whedon-esque shows is that he routinely kills off a few characters a season to make room for more or to jolt the storyline in new and often unexpected directions.. now that the River story seems to have been somewhat resolved (not to my satisfaction but I digress) there's the start to a Zoe storyline (see the movie...I wasn't happy about that either) new or additional crew (again.. see the movie) I somehow doubt that if someone called Joss up and said "we want to add more to the 'verse and here's how" that he'd not be open to, at the very least, the idea.. Granted Fox holds the name "Firefly" for like the next 5 or 6 years but there's nothing that says it needs to be that title.. "Serenity" worked for the movie afterall..
is that this seems on the face to be the worst attempt for the "Laziest Ass Ever" award..The US gov. wanted search terms that may or may not allow people to access adult and possibly illegal (in the US at any rate)images and content. Instead of spending the time and effort of court filings I'm sure the time could be better spend digging a tunnel to China or something. Offer any teenager $50 to show how they get porn and I'm sure you'll get alot more relevent data than asking some corporation how they think someone in Nowheresville Idaho finds pictures of pretty girls on the internet...They (US Gov.) could have just as simply turned to the prison system and gotten better data than from Yahoo or AOL. I'm sure there's a child molester or two who'd love to share what they know about internet porn for a private room. I applaud Google for saying no to a request for a list anyone could have made up using a dictionary and thesaurus.
Let's face it... HTML, CSS, etc, etc isn't the problem with websites.. it's the people designing them.. Does anyone really think that WHATWG is going to change that ? I'm fairly certain that the same monkeys will still make hidious websites using the same reasoning behind them now.."But I think that color of green.." and my favorite "It looked ok in frontpage.."
I think the slashdotting the site PriceRitePhoto.com will now get will be a start.. I imagine that they have to pay for the traffic same as any other online retailer.. (smile)
wouldn't this have been better served by modding a xbox? The Do It Yourself aspect is interesting but with the arrival of the Xbox 360 there soon should be plenty of cast offs that would require little modifaction to achieve the same result, granted a bigger hdd would be nice in an Xbox but.. that's why I have network cable:)
Considering that according to http://www.bittorrent.com/trackerless.html they don't need a tracker per se, just a link on a site/blog. So...I'm fairly certain that this can be simply seen as a token gesture towards "what was" instead of "what is" or "what will be" in the torrent world.
Yes, there's someone on the other end making money on this and the greedy bastard thinks he should get "his share". Does he want that to apply to every transaction?
I called and ordered a pizza for delivery last night. Do they get a cut?
I checked my bank balance and paid a couple bills this weekend. Do they get a transaction fee?
I do work from home some days. Do I need to give them a portion of my pay when I do that?
I think that he's pissed because on VOIP their only collecting your money from ISP revenue and not the other party like in a traditional POTS setup where you and the other party (local pizza, bank, etc)pay them for phone service.
... go the route of Seti@home with their distro processing as far as using extra CPU cycles instead of having one giant server farm that you wouldn't have exclusive access to anyway?
said "640k of memory should be enough for everyone"?.. personally I think taking any forward looking statements from Mr. Gates require a fair amount of salt.

They finally put the manual on cdrom... big deal :)

If it uses 1.21 gigawatts I'm going to hide and not come out until doomsday! :)

good grief.. I could retire next week if that were the case..
regardless of the acuracy of the quote... I still take things said by Bill or M$ with more than a grain of salt.

I'd be interested to see if these were address-able and maybe interface with a desktop app..
