Then how is that different from someone publishing a book stating they would rather have a world without (let's say) Christians and someone re-posting that quote? It could be offensive to someone who identifies themselves as a Christian and the person that wrote it may have some other information to back up that claim or it could have been taken out of context. Now you have to dedicate time and money tracking down the quote, determining intent...

I just wish people would get over themselves and remember the old childhood saying: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

I've been in a theater that caught fire. I was watching a movie and one of the speakers behind the screen caught fire. It was right there in front of the entire theater to see. Did people trample each other to get out? Nope. We all got up calmly and walked outside. "Yelling fire in a theater" is grossly exaggerated, IMHO.

But isn't that getting back to the resource issue (ie: needing an ass ton of material for a huge sphere)? Relying on the laws of conservation; The only reason you'd wipe out a species is for the rock they claim home. You'd likely claim up all neighboring systems until you had the resources you needed. This would create a void of empty star systems in the immediate vicinity. In that case, wouldn't it be far saner to just look for a group of stars in a cluster with no planets? Maybe they also found a way to claim the stars themselves which gets back to the point of them just being able to fuse atoms to generate the material they need.

Infrastructure, we have bridges in poor shape, we have a power grid that is a total joke, we have a lack of power in some parts of the country in the summer.

Investing properly in education would solve that last part. By that I mean free university education for those who qualify at public universities.

How is education supposed to help with power distribution issues? Wouldn't that money be better spend burying the existing and new power lines?

I mean, I have no problem with education funding... but to state that the reason some parts of the country have no power in the summer because of education funding is reaching.

The Neato shuts down the vacuum when it's returning to the base. It's generally been awesome for a scheduled 4 times a week cleanup. It's gotten stuck a few times due to the layout of my house, but I'd say it's 95% on top of it's game. Once I figured out what it tends to get stuck or confused on/with I haven't had it act up or get lost in a few months.

Hell, I'll bet if you vacuumed your carpet after the Dyson or Kirby, you'd still pick up dust.

It also forces me to keep the floors picked up and serves as a gentle alarm clock at 7:00 in the morning (only 4 times a week.) It's not terribly loud, but it's movement that wakes you up.

All I have to do is rescue it the few times it's gotten lost in my house (and the one time it got caught on some sheets I forgot to pick up) and clean it's dust bin.
