  1. Upgrading? on The Trouble With Software Upgrades · · Score: 1

I often find upgrading quite a hassle. Some programs I use come up with updates every 2 days! That is insane. I just want software that works. Who really cares about a little upgrade that adds one tiny feature or fixes a non-problematic bug. If you want stability, go with Linux or BSD. Some might say that the applications are not the best but that is wrong. It may take a little effort, but you can get just as good programs for Linux as for Windows. I often perfer the Linux counter parts of Windows applications. Besides, Windows is so easy. I want a challenge. Ok, off topic now. Anywayz, I find updating software for major upgrades only is quite sufficiant and I have had no problems with compatibility or stability.

  2. XB360? Not likely. on No WoW for the 360 · · Score: 1

I have only played WoW once and that was for like 10mins, but one thing I learned is... well, you NEED a keyboard. There is no way that WoW could be converted into a game using a controller like the XB360's. Besides, after hearing about some of their server troubles, I would be surprised if Blizzard could even handle the thousands of new players. I think Blizzard is right about sticking to their PC-based WoW that won't "compromise any game play."

  3. Never on Linspire CEO Considers CNR for Ubuntu · · Score: 1

Ubuntu is FREE. It will always be free. Even if CNR was optional I don't think many people would buy it. I have used Ubuntu and I love it although I currently use SuSE 10.0 (YEAH LINUX!!!!). Even if I had the money, I would never pay for the CNR service. The software you get on it is out of date and quite honestly with a bit of time, you can much better install it by yourself (for FREE!). I am thinking this is just some plan by Linspire to try and get some money out of Ubuntu's success.

  5. Yeah right.... on Microsoft Claims Worlds Best Search Engine Soon · · Score: 1

MS will never produce a search engine as good as google. Perhaps technically, but will people really use it? How does it plan to convert millions of users from Google? MS once again just trying to use its monopoly to conquer another market unfairly.

Yeah, not the best hacks. Try running Linux on it, now THATS a hack.

  7. Getting there.... on LED-Based LCD Display Tested · · Score: 1

Great product but for $6000 you can buy an awsome computer and one of the best LCDs on the market. At any rate, a great step forward though.

  8. Hmm... on How to Build a $500 Gaming Machine · · Score: 1

Is it just me or did they forget something...I just can't find words for it... oh yeah... A CASE? How about a monitor? I find it quite nice to actually see the games when I play them. Perhaps even have some controls to play them with (keyboard? mouse?)? And, although I am a great fan and supporter, I don't think many people want to have a Linux gaming system. Shary Extreme takes a much more realistic approach on the matter.
