As telecoms develops, any and all 'archaeic technologies' will eventually be replaced. This includes T.V. in its current form.
This will not happen for a long time though, not until the connection speeds and data compression/quality manage to provide an equal to what is currently available.
We can see slight shifts of emphasis now [in the U.K.] with legislation going about switching OFF analogue signals [soon-ish]. This leave just the digital environment. And as more and more of our entertainment goods goes to digital, we will find that the distinction between 'Telly' and 'computer' and 'phone' and 'dvd player'will dissolve till we have the grail of home medai management.
1. Haven't microsoft tried this 'validation' thing already with downloading copies of directx? That didn;t appear to work very well.
2.I don't care what people say...windows is still expensive. If windows was more affordable to the average user, maybe piracy wouldn't be such an issue.
Sadly i don;t think this will reverse or stop the aging.
Aging comes into play because when the cells replicate they replicate 'less perfect' than when they were first grown. I would assume that when the reversal takes place, any flaws will be translated into the parent cell.
Shame really. No, 'Fountain of youth: elixir' for us this year.

The Gmail button is fairly small and 'hidden' at the top of the page. The one thing I thought about it was the sluggishness of the links. Will Google calander discrminate against dialup users, with poor performance?
Ah yes...i suppose this calander relateds to the google-'stem cell'-icity. What next? Google-3d-rendering?
I would hardly call google the 'first' company to be able to take any form it sees fit. I would rather attribute this skill to any large multiunational company with enough money to do so.
I am sure that M1cr0S0ft could have done such, had it been that way inclined.
Giving an addict the mantra "Just Unplug!" tends to be a little defeatist.
For most people who are addicted to things, they do not WANT to give up. Have you ever tried to give up smoking, when you actually quite enjoy it, and do not actively want to give up?
It's nigh on impossible! You may have given up smoking two packets a day, but that is coz you WANTED to.
I feel for the original subject of this article, i really do. I've seen many of my friends drop out of WoW because they suddenyl realised they are addicted and are screwing up too much else.

Two things...
