No I can't, and no it doesn't. Steam is for Windows, as is the game they sell. In addition I have already bought the game three times, why should I buy it again? Especially since it won't be the original programmers getting the money.
I recently discovered this, and have been playing X-COM way too much. I have been thinking of trying to get X-COM Apocalypse with it, as I have the frustration ingrained in my memory of buying an X-COM compilation CD and my PC being unable to run Apocalypse at the time, but doubt it will compare to the original (one of the best games, if not the best game, to date in my opinion).
I don't feel the filesize justifies it though. With my SLR I always shoot in RAW, but I view my point and shoot, like most people view their camera phones, it is going to be a low quality image; so why care? And on "super crappy jpeg compression code", I don't think that is really an issue unless I am compressing it multiple times (infamous seagull example) or am using it for something serious (in which case I would/should be using my SLR).
You missed the point. You have a painting that has been passed down countless times, painted by some nobody from Milan. No one has been tracking his paintings, because he is a nobody. Suddenly he becomes famous for some reason, and his paintings are valuable. Pretty much no one can prove the history of their painting, because no one keeps track of things with little value (like velvet Elvis portraits).
Almost every point-and-shoot digital I've ever owned uses TIFF for the "raw" files, it is has the option of uncompressed files. Why I would want an uncompressed image from my 2-megapixel POS camera with a crappy lens, I have no idea. My Nikon SLR uses NEF, which is based on TIFF but breaks from the standard in the header and on image tags.
How about the WH fucking O mentioned in the summary.
The ages of the victims in Mexico concern health officials. Unlike typical flu seasons, when infants and the aged are usually the most vulnerable, none of the initial deaths in Mexico were in people older than 60 or younger than 3 years old, a spokeswoman with the World Health Organization said. Pandemic flus -- like the 1918 flu and outbreaks in 1957 and 1968 -- often strike young, healthy people the hardest.
does it really cost $95 a month for all that stuff?
I think it actually may, in a way. Last I saw iPhone users were using WAY more data than users of AT&T's other phones. I've heard AT&T has struggled to keep up with this in some locations. Think of the $95 a month as keeping out the vast hordes that would rape and pillage their inadequate infrastructure. So for someone to compete on this aspect I think they would have to have a much more robust network with plenty of bandwidth room.
I wouldn't call this "outreach". It is research, with any aid they give just so they can get access to information they want. New York is a prime target for terrorists, as such it is in their interest to know as much as they can of events in other cities and how to prevent them.
"Right to Life" for people who would deny the rights of women.
I actually think their name is right on. They care about a right to live, not about gender rights or suffrage. They view the growing organism as separate and living, though dependent on its host it is not part of its host. There is nothing in the name "Right to Life" that suggests they support women's rights any more than gun rights.
There are actually more golf courses in Michigan, on the other side of the lake (at least public, maybe WI has MI beat if private are included). Michigan is also very high in the ski resorts, and has more registered snowmobiles than any other state. But my favorite stat is being second in amount of coastline (more than Florida!).
You are kind of off. The original phrase was used to describe how Native Americans could go off the reservation, commit crimes, and quickly cross back into the reservation with impunity. The phrase was used like "be careful, he is off the reservation" when approaching a Native off of the reservation, because he could rob you and run back across the line to have no fear of consequences. It is kind of reversed from the video-gaming power structure you described.
I've never heard that one before, is it some kind of racist comment?
The saying "go off the reservation" is an American one, and goes back to at least the late 1800's. It used to literally refer to Native Americans going off of their reservations, but later meant to temporarily break political party ranks. Since at least the 1960's it has been basically equivalent to "he's off his rocker".
What is his speciality? Quantum electrics? Nuclear engineering? Mathematics? Space exploration? He has kind of made some significant contributions to many fields. I hate this view of "you have to have a specialty to contribute to the field". Einstein as a patent worker when we wrote the theory of relativity, Jared Diamond studied birds before entering into the political science sphere.
I'm going out on a limb and saying it probably did. I know the mangos and bananas in South East Asia taste way different than the mangos and bananas in America. I would expect the common corns are different too.
Also add in a "make it rain" feature that spits out the extra money you paid to get the apple logo in the first place.
For a limited time you can buy make it rain feature, the program that spits out the $80 you paid for the Apple logo, for $150! Get it during the first week, before the price raises!
The difference between the PowerBook and the MacBook is due to a change it Apples default settings, not due to anything hardware wise. See this old article.
Probably because of the networking features in iTunes. When I was in college (before today's handy airport express or the iPod Touch/iPhone remote) the best way to have everyones music was iTunes - have one laptop hooked to the stereo and it can play music from any computer running iTunes on the network. Very handy for most people to keep their computers and iPods behind locked doors while still having great music for parties.
I, personally, am much more interested in the Fisker Karma http://karma.fiskerautomotive.com/ I think the guy really knows what he was doing, and was recently able to pick up some good buildings and people in Detroit due to the recent troubles at the Big Three.
Thelonius Monk was banned from playing New York clubs because he had a "marijuana" conviction and had his club card pulled.
Wrong. Monk had his New York City Cabaret Card pulled because he wouldn't testify in court. The law is clear that you can't be forced to testify against yourself, but the charge was against his friend (fellow jazz pianist Bud Powell).

there were two huge Blackwater semis
I am going to call B.S., unless they were using former Blackwater semis they picked up for training. Blackwater doesn't exist anymore. It is now Xe.
Nonsense. You can't use atomics on shields, you can only use them on geological features. Otherwise the other great houses will obliterate you.

Since users would have to log in with their Fon account, wouldn't the burden be on Fon and not you?

I'm confused, what are the two authorized books? The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Torah? The Talmud and the Koran were both written after Jesus.

Dunegons and Dragons web sight,
Does that allow you to spot the webs of giant spiders easier or something? An extra roll to avoid web-based traps?
If you're trying to get kids interested in the possibilities of math I would suggest Bringing Down The House, about the MIT Blackjack team.
