Out of curiosity, if every enlightened person knows that homosexuality is not a choice, and one cannot choose to whom one is sexually attracted, then why do we think that people who are sexually attracted to children can be rehabilitated in prison? Bit off topic, but still.

  4. Interesting step, but nothing has changed. on EA Is Now Officially On Steam, Spore Loses SecuROM · · Score: 1

Interesting step. But I'm still a collector, I still want the box, and I wont buy any of that while it has SecureRom. And the used games market still suffers.... can't sell your Steam download to a store or buddy. EA has given up nothing except an expensive license to SecureRom.

  5. Just what I figured. on Press Favored Obama Throughout Campaign · · Score: 4, Insightful

I opened this thread expecting one thing: to see a bunch of replies saying, in a nutshell, "It isn't biased if it is true." Pretty much what I am seeing here. Obama is the most unvetted President in recent history, and you all know it. The media didn't investigate because they didn't want to. We all know, however, how much Palin spent on clothes and that a plumber in Toledo doesn't have a license.

I'm a god-hating atheist too, but as much as I dislike traditional religions (for different reasons) the abuses of Scientology, in this day and age, are almost as bad as the Inquisition in its day.

  18. Yeah, piracy, whatever. on AllofMp3.com Breaks Silence · · Score: 1

I haven't purchased a CD in a store for years, and it isn't because of god damned piracy. It's because I got sick of never being able to find the CD I wanted in archaic brick and mortar stores, and could always find what I want on amazon.com. Waiting a few days was easy to get used to compared to the frustration of going to so-called "obscure music" stores and never finding what I wanted to buy. But no. It's always got to be piracy.

  19. Re:I have one already... on Movie Burning Kiosks Coming To Retailers · · Score: 1

"*sigh* /.'s attitude of "It's okay to copy anything I want" is really, really getting tiring."

And your prejudiced attitude toward me as a downloader is getting really tiring, too.

I have two entire walls of movie and music media that I've legally purchased over the last ten years. And lately I've grown tired of paying for something that ended up being crap. So, I've begun sampling before I purchase. I can name music albums that I would have purchased prior to sampling, and albums I never would have purchased until I sampled.

Oh, you say there are other ways for me to sample movies and music other than downloading? Well screw you for trying to tell me and legislate to me how you think I should conduct my affairs. I do what works best for me, and I have no music in my degital media library that I've not legally purchased and converted to my PC media library.

The proper word for people like you isn't a "racist," and "bigot" doesn't fit, but your generalist attitude about a certain class of people certainly deserves a moniker. "Downloadist?"

    Either way, go to hell.

  20. "Blockbusters?" on BitTorrent User Guilty Of Piracy · · Score: 2, Funny
