  1. It's good. Let it work. There's been no incentive to build new infrastructure. Companies would gladly pay an increased rate (not capped) to get an alternative provider in some cases. Reliability Ancillary Service offerings and National and International reach for private networks. It will take time, but it will work.

We knew Apple was going to have a transition period after Steve passed. It's been six years now. This deviation from engineering excellence is a loss of focus. Do one thing and do it well. I've been a Mac user since 1989. Updates are sloppy, engineering is suffering and YES they have become even more creepy with their privacy intrusions. I don't do auto updates anymore because it takes me hours to figure out what Apple has turned on by default. NO APPLE! I REALLY don't want all of my private data in your iCloud. Quit turning it on and quickly uploading my stuff before I can turn it off again.

I turn off all auto updates until I have time to find out what's in it. I can never start my day with an update because it takes me hours to discover what spyware these developers/manufactures turn on. Even the beloved Apple is awful. I've been given Apple Support Community awards calling them on this BS auto iCloud upload of all my private contacts and photos. I turn off iCloud everywhere. Every time I update the OS iCloud turns itself on somewhere. I'm now locked out of syncing my own photos where I want because they were already uploaded to iCloud. If I delete them from the cloud it deletes them from my machines. HOURS with techs. I dare you to try to turn off Photostream. I've spent 50+ hours trying to get rid of GoogleSoftwareUpdate. Which runs constantly. There IS NO OPT OUT. I've deleted and scrubbed all remnants of Google from my machines many times over the years and I don't use Google Apps. And BOOM there it is again. CREEPY Don't get me started on Location Based Services and Background App Refresh..... Then all these apps that want access to your Contacts???!!! NO! Many do it sneaky before you can turn that function off. Anyone else offended?
