No, I'm afraid it's simply a system to write Flash in a different way.

I'm also afraid that the easy availability of Flash for Linux now makes alternatives even harder for people to justify working on. It's a -ton- of work to create an equivalent system, and to do better is even harder. Even OpenLaszlo compiles to Flash as it's main method, with the DHTML4 'compile' method still not ready for use.

The calendar demo doesn't work well either, as I've been completely unable to add an event (can't type, looks like there are missing controls) under Opera and Firefox, even if I try to reload it.

Also, http://www.openlaszlo.org/lps/laszlo-explorer/index.jsp?navset=nav10.xml&bookmark=Introduction looks quite slow. I see at the bottom that it's recompiling each time, but that's not immediately obvious.

Other than that, it looks promising. I just recommended we buy an app at work that will let us make video tutorials in flash quite quickly, but if I can learn that fast enough, I may change the recommendation... I'll have to take a closer look.

You know what I love about today's games (and other media) more than anything? It makes you think, and explore yourself. Space Invaders probably never made anyone think 'What would I do in an alien invasion?' but Prey might. The Transformers may have made people dream about giant robots, but there's no moral dilemma there. Kino's Journey ep2 (anime) did make me think 'What would I do in that situation?' Kino handled it a lot better than I would have. (Admittedly, Transformers had a few 'should Optimus kill Megatron' dilemmas, but it's not really a situation you can relate to.)

Dell Windows XP Home OEM codes will work with any Windows XP Home OEM disc, etc. This is not entirely true, actually, as they ran out of codes and now you need the new Home OEM disc with all the new codes to guarantee new codes will work, and I don't have one yet. The shop might, I haven't been in for a while. But anything older than a year will work fine for sure.

Anyhow, if you can't find someone with a real disc, just download it off the net. It's not illegal as it's the license you purchase (with the keycode) and not the bits on the disc. I recommend keeping a Home OEM and Pro OEM copy around at all times, just in case, and just use the legal code from the PC Case to do the reinstall.

I've never actually done it with Media Center Edition, so it may not work for that one. (MCE is actually a modified Pro, so it should work, but... Who knows.) And I've never tried it with Vista at all.
