It does work to a limited extent. When Half-life 2 Episode one came out I was stuck with 56k at home; when the game was released I had already preloaded 98% of it. I tried to find out the time remaining on the download but much to my surprise the game started instead. The first map I played on the HUD didn't work, next map it was mostly there, and finally 4-5 maps later I had a cross hair.
That was the only time I was ever able to play a game that wasn't downloaded 100%.
The Japanese version of this has much more interesting rewards. I know the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack was offered. There were limited edition DS's (just a special skin) and I can't remember what else.
Hopefully I'll be able to add the rest of my wii/ds games and the consoles. It's kinda weird how the eligible games are picked. I bought my Wii on launch day with Twilight Princess and Excite Truck but only TP was eligible.
I'm rather disappointed with the lack of a steam release. I really like the steam platform. Maybe in a year or so...
I've pre-ordered every GTA for PC since I played GTA2 years ago. I even purchased them again over steam (So much easier then disc hunting) This one will be a wait and see approach. If I consider the hoops unreasonable (I have no interest in running two content management platforms for games thank-you-very-much) I'll just do what I did for spore.
Most online games are boring to me without friends.
I've played WoW on and off for the last 2 years, for me it's not about PvP the PvE is amazing, zones become more then just a map. I like how quests are written and designed to build you up for the next area. The most fun I've had with WoW is when a friend and I started new characters and only played together with them. We never got very far and yea the quests were the same as last time but it's still fun.
I recently started playing EVE, I absolutely enjoy how brutal the game can be but also how rewarding. It's also interesting how much power player corps. (guilds) can attain, and how much of the market is player driven. Killing a NPC pirate doesn't give you a random chance of getting a battleship, you have to find someone who is selling it.
At that point you'll have Microsoft analytics, which will go beyond that and tell you if your users are using a *genuine version of windows. This is of course all in the name of copy right protection so Microsoft can determine if you're providing a safe haven for pirates and other OS deviants...
I know quite a few people who think of Netscape as a golden child that got bullied off the market. I've no doubt that this is partly true because of how IE is bundled. But, I remember how amazing IE was when I switched from Netscape 4 on my mac. For me IE had a far better user experience then Netscape. It was my browser of choice for many years until a friend introduced me to Firebird.
I for one hope Motorola sticks around. My alltel branded V3c was an amazing phone and my AT&T branded V9 is beyond even that. I wouldn't put it in the same class as an iphone but every major feature the iphone is capable of my V9 can achieve in one way or another. (youtube, opera mini, google maps, email, etc.)
Actually their not supposed too. Wendy's isn't supposed to even have a "real" microwave, just something for warming thawed buns. Of course many people don't like to follow the rules, I've seen the bun warmer used for various things.
Megaupload is better for that sort of thing anyway.
FFFFFFFF
I had to reread this entire topic to continue the effect.

They also did something similar in Guitar Hero III, it wasn't that obvious.
Five years later my friends still haven't bought it.
PC gaming (is supposedly) going down hill.

Rabbit: It's the other, other, other white meat.
I think this is the reason why I stopped getting easter eggs.
From now on I vow to eat part of a cow each day.

So what do you do if the server crashes? Hold down the flusher, spin the toilet paper roll backwards, and tap the trash can with your foot?

The m33 firmware for PSP has been able to do this for a while. Or at least it was that way last time I used it.

How will I ever find the any key?
Just roll it into a fatty and light it up.

I think the heat from a light saber is like, local.
Team fortress 2 anyone?
They have to get me out of this bunker first!
