  1. Blame housing, health care and education on Are Universal Basic Incomes 'A Tool For Our Further Enslavement'? (medium.com) · · Score: 1

When people eventually become too poor to continue working as drivers or paying for rides, UBI supplies the required cash infusion for the business to keep operating.

People become "too poor" only because there are expenses that continue rising (and protected by competition by the Government), namely housing, health care and education.

Google Search is already censored worldwide: torrents, EU's "right to be forgotten", DMCA, copyright filters, etc. It's a matter of degree, not of substance. I find much more concerning whether the Chinese Government will use Google Search for surveillance.

What's nice about the distributed nature of the net is that code like decss can never be truly removed.

What the MPAA wants is to make DeCSS very difficult to find. Then only a few hundreds or thousands of computer geeks will have it.

Project Censored defines that something is censored when it is

Perhaps the solution is a pseudonymous system, like the pseudonymous mail sytem. It could also enforce the use of GnuPG and PGP.

  16. The corporations won't allow that on Are Nitrogen Powered Cars The Future? · · Score: 1

Greenpeace has presented a modified Twingo the last 2 years in an important car expo in Germany, that spents the half gas-oil than the standard Twingo. It only has a few changes in the engine and the airdynamic. But the industry refuses to build it.

About 50 years ago there was a small car company in Texas that sold marihuana-based cars (really!). It was buyed by a big car company. They didn't seld these cars any more.

There are alternatives to fuel-based cars, but the fuel corporations want us to spend our money in petroleoum. It is also the reason why we don't still have too many electricity-based cars.

The nitrogen-based cars will be sold only if they think they can earn more money with nitrogen than with gas-oil.

I'm sorry about I can't offer more link of what I say. Perhaps anybody can.

    Please, forget my bad english.

OK, but, then, if I don't want to set up a server, perhaps some commercial distros are better (and easier to install). My favorite one is Mandrake.
