    The major reason Google got popular was that they did simple to the point text based ads and those ads were far more effective than OMG PUNCH YOUR SCREEN TO MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! advertisements.

    If AMD left that market completely, it would be devastating to the industry. Intel's CPU innovation would cease, and prices would shoot up sky high in the mid and low segments of the x86_64 market.

    And that would be the end of the x86 market. Arm would most likely take over and there are many Arm manufacturers.

    I have depression issues, I take anti-depressants, it is not contradictory that the end result is that I am not depressed.

    Do the people you talk about also drink alcohol?

    What you are describing is clinical depression.

    I know with me a lot of the issues you mention went away when I quit drinking and got medication for bi-polar depression.

    I still smoke pot and my psychiatrist is perfectly fine with me smoking pot, but alcohol is a strict no no.

    It is not contradictory in the least, he goes home, smokes, relaxes, and in that relaxed state he thinks about his job in a relaxed and creative state and he writes down the ideas and brings them to work.

    What about that is contradictory?

    If you do think it is contradictory do you have personal experience with being high?

    What the court-ordered apology does is provides consequences for their actions that go beyond just a fine that usually is less than the profits received from whatever immoral act that caused the court-ordered apology.

    You know the math. If the profit of doing something illegal is less than the fine then you do the illegal thing. This type of punishment changes that equation.

    Although I was raised around drugs and I smoke pot on a regular basis I know for me that is not a good idea to get stoned at work, for two reasons.

    1) I'm trying to get a job done, but I am impaired so I can't do my job well.

    2) I'm trying to enjoy this high, but I am concentrating on getting my damn job done so I can't enjoy the high.

    So for me it is a waste of time and a waste of weed to get high at work.

    If I where them I would look into a multi-architecture computing. Have a board support running on ARM for low power and fire up the x86_64 core when you need more power.

    Wrong order, the only reason to put up "voting booths" in a virtual world is if the people in the virtual world are unable to go back to the physical world.

    So at some point in the future when a person is able to transition entirely to a digital world there may be a need to set up voting booths in said virtual world.

    I think demonizing pot is a bipartisan thing.

    True, and once they finally get it though their thick skulls that the public is ready for pot to be legalized then legalization will also be a bipartisan thing.

    My family, that I was not raised anywhere near, are very conservative and even they say it should be legalized.

    The California emergency phones are radiotelephones that are competely separate from any phone system. They connect only with CHP dispatchers I believe and cannot be used in any other way.

    This isn't a model anyone would be happy with.

    I'm having problems trying to imagine an emergency where they would not be handy.

    Fairly certain that if you are stuck on the side of the road and you use the phone, they will get you help, but I do not have actual experience with that to say for sure.

    In that type of situation I would recommend also sending a text to your friends since the text will send during the second or two that you actually get a signal.

    Your view of possible disaster scenarios is very limited, and I am quite convinced by this alone
    that you are an idiot since narrow-mindedness is one of the primary symptoms of stupidity.

    Some disasters happen in places which may be many miles and many minutes ( or hours )
    away from emergency workers.

    You need to get out more, there is a lot more variation in the world than your tiny little brain
    seems to grasp at this juncture.

    Usually if you are many miles or many minutes ( or hours ) away from emergency workers you tend to be in the middle of no where and there will not be a pay phone there.
