  1. Re:Global Cooling on Arctic Sea Level Falling? · · Score: 1

O_o Then why are polar bears drowning in record numbers? Arctic ice is melting sooner, global temperature is rising and yet some how the ice caps are magically growing? I would love to see an article backing up your statement as I've never seen anything in the past 2-3 years that didn't indicate the polar caps were melting at an increasing rate.

  2. May not help much but... on Web Development - A Tough Job to Have? · · Score: 1

After 2-3 years as a Web Designer and always dealing with intermitent work, I've decided to say "screw it all" and spend the winter in Whistler as a ski bum working whatever random job I can (as long as it pays for my lift ticket). Course I'm 24 and have no strings attached. Best of luck. If you find something better to do, I'd be interested to hear about it.

  3. Work For Free on The MPAA and EFF Cross Sabers · · Score: 2, Insightful

I'm sure all of us have been willing to work for free at one time or another. If you believe in something and enjoy the work enough, it's not really "work". If all these movie makers were as passionate as they should be about creating what they sell, the dollar they earn from making it is secondary to creating something that they and others will enjoy for years to come. Glickman talks like a man that is only interested in profit and that's the problem entirely. No one in their right mind will whole heartedly buy anything from a company or group that is interested only in profit.

  4. It's days like these that I love being Canadian on Canadian Music Stars Fight Against DRM · · Score: 1

My favourite part is "Suing Our Fans is Destructive and Hypocritical". Why can't American artists have this kind of commonsense?

  5. *gasp* upgrade your computer to play games?! on Sid Meier On Industry State · · Score: 1

The wonderful thing about PC games is the graphics can be adjusted to suit your rig. Civ IV is great, and a much less hardware demanding game than most that have been released in recent months (i.e. F.E.A.R.). I can run Civ IV with everything maxed out and I appreciate all those little 3d touches they put in it. I already know I won't be able to do that with Oblivion, so I'll either need to scale down the graphics or buy new hardware. It comes with the territory.
