  1. Re:offshoring on Will Trump Protect America's IT Workers From H-1B Visa Abuses? (cio.com.au) · · Score: 2

This I believe is the problem H1B visa utilization today. As long as the balance sheet at the end of the quarter shows that it was the better economical decision, then they will continue to use it as currently design. Its original intent was to bring in outside talent not available in the local work force and the minimum pay was a "fixed amount". THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Instead of a fixed amount a percentage above the industry standard rate could effectively close this loophole as this could allow the company to get a person who has the skills currently at a higher rate than what they are paying an existing employee or a potential new employee.

Disney and others went a step further than that and had their current staff "train" the cheaper H1B visa holders as replacements, thus blatantly abusing the visa program as a whole.

Is there a better approach to fairly represent all the people while not favoring others, I would like to believe so and we should always strive to find a way to do it.

Death threats to the electors is probably not the way to go in any civilized society. Publishing the personal information of the electorates to the public is probably not the way to go. Intimidation never works, it just enrages the person on the other end.

Applying pressure to electors is not going to work. It will just cause more rage in others in an already out of control situation.

Who should we believe, the current appointment of Obama (who was involved), or a former deputy director of the State Department during multiple presidents both Dem. and Rep.? This raises the question "was it state-sponsored"? Probably. And it very well may have been our own state-sponsored hackers.

  14. Re:Two possible motivations on Right-Wing and Fake News Writers Are Now Going After Elon Musk (qz.com) · · Score: 1

Or conversely, this is nothing but the MSM deflecting blame on the horribly biased coverage for the past year and saying it is those dang pesky right wingers AGAIN! Just like the deplorable Russian hackers that stole the election.

Considering the above mentioned article came from the left leaning author, of course it is the right wingers fault. Some of his sources are coming from a documented bipartisan non-profit organization that gets their data from public records. Wait for it, public records will show this same group to now lean left pointing out waste in the right wing government soon to be in power.

This whole "fake news" assassination quest is actually pointing more to corporate sponsored censorship. While there are bogus sites reporting invalid information, this is up to the people to decide if it is bogus or not, not the corporate media (and yes Facebook is a media company that is why it is called "social media"). Can they refute the information? Fine, then publish the information that shows it for what it is and not just suppress it. This points out the much bigger issue of the current "Journalistic Integrity" being nothing more than another person's opinion and not fact.

This again is another false statement. They stay 6-8 people in a two bedroom apartment (this I have seen). Since they are temporary workers, they must return to their country so they live a minimalist life here in the US and send most of the money back to their own country. So the net result is the money is leaving this country and it has gotten worse over the past 5-10 years. Couple that with one-sided trade agreements and you have even more. You are spouting nothing but Globalist crap that they are teaching in Business Administration degree programs which only emphasize short term gains over long term stability.
