Well what do you consider cyber warfare? Shutting down the whole internet? Or simply attacking an ISP or military network in a hostile country? Or even more simply launching a Denial of Service attack against a terrorist propaganda website? (This is likely to be going on soon if not already).

And where do you draw the line between POLICE ACTION on the internet and CYBERWARFARE? Is monitoring internet traffic for terrorist communications a POLICE ACTION or CYBERWAREFARE? What if you more from passive to active, by sending fake messages to suspected terrorist?

My guess... the US is already there and we're not the only ones in the game.

Indeed, what is Happening in America? What's next? I can't burn the President of my University in effigacy? http://www2.indystar.com/library/factfiles/people/ b/brand_myles/brand.html What about burning crosses?http://www.dukenews.duke.edu/2005/06/facul tycross.html After that you'll probably be telling me I need to wear CLOTHES to class!

Jokes aside, I beleive private institutions are free to set their own standards, but they should do so carefuly. Clearly, this was not a set standard at all, but a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. What a waste to admit the student, educate him for almost a year and half, give him a great scholarship and then have a person who should be an academic and life mentor try to drive the student out of the university in some kind of chest pounding contest. If the student does manage to stay at the University and graduated, I'm sure they'll ask him for a donation a year later. I think I lived this storry.

That hardly means that Big Brother is going to be staring into your life or mind 24hrs a day. You are going to have to do something to really standout in order for any law enforcement agency to take notice of your blip.
Its not just Law Enforcement abuse that we should be concerned about.

The records created by this system could be leaked and used to character assasinate. Good men/women who might run for office or take positions of influence will instead shy away from civic duty. We'll be left with even more leaders who have no shame of their past indiscretions, or those who were able to hide in their parent's bubble of privelage for the past 40 years. We'll have www.TheSmokingGun.com x1,000. Even if records are "secure" we know that they eventually get out. Just the fear of a past indiscretion coming to light, will be enough to disuade.

Imagine: "Contential Carriage Records leaked to TheSmotkingGun reveal that Thomas Jefferson, former secretary of state and Democratic-Republican Party candidate for President of the United States took a trip to Richmond, VA last year. CCR also shows that a Jefferson slave, Sally, also took a weekend trip to Richmond, VA at that time. Hospital records reveal Sally delivered a child aproximately nine-months later. We're working to get survillance tapes from the hotel! Check back in five minutes!"

In America, if you really hate your neighbors you can move to your own city! In these cases Dearborn, Michigan* and San Francisco respectively. It's a good thing those two cities are so far apart because last I checked the local Imams weren't infavor of protecting sexual orientation under anti-discrimintation laws and Richard Simmons wasn't getting on his knees and facing west five times a day. *http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q =Dearborn%2C+Michigan+Muslims+largest
