I expect games that allow user supplied avatars to be a fad soon. A network of model makers like turbo squid could keep churning out cheap ($5 a model) quality models to give decent variety. Software that auto rigs models in the anatomical pose to the game standard would go a long way in achieving this. MMO's having to download other players models is another issue, but I'm sure some games would benefit.
The problem is when Governments support companies to invest in alternative energy research and they misuse the funds or legislative support. AFAIK this is not the case. While I agree pure capitalism in its current form is driven by short term profit for a few people in control, at least in this case the consumer can vote with their wallets... sort of.
To the guy who was attacked:
No one with intelligence blames you. In something completely unrelated, my Mother broke her leg due to a telecom company digging a hole in a path (which was grassy so you couldnt see it) and initiated legal proceedings. The Council (who wasnt even the party we were after) threatened a counter suit for costs etc and our solicitor got nervous so we pulled out just in time. This stuff happens every day.
I know from my school experiences, do not dwell on bullies or you'll develop a complex. I agree that you should let it go.
Back when it was written there was still a strong class structure and Servants loved their betters. Lacking understanding of this concept, the only interpretation that young viewers can make is homo-erotic.
SSL certificates can be used to authenticate IPSec. That does not make it an "SSL VPN". IPSec uses ESP, not SSL.
OpenVPN encapsulates packets in SSL encrypted packets as opposed to ESP. There are a couple of advantages for this, but it will take a bit of research to determine weather this product is appropriate for you.
SSL VPN can also be a web application as a poster above said. Cisco have an SSL VPN that is like that. This solution is not as secure from certain vulnerabilities and can not provide you with full network access.
Your company should have a security policy that needs to be followed, or you may be bound by Government directives such as meeting Common Criteria. Frankly, unless you are a very small organisation, you had better not take responsability for implementing this, no offense.
Dont forget not all paswords are for the directory login eg routers etc. Generally users would not store their user password using this system. If a user loses their password a reset is the most common remedy. I have worked in security with classified and highly classified networks. The most highly secure networks will have a paper filing system stored in a physically secure location with all access fully audited. The less secure networks use LAN accessible password database applications, which is also highly audited of course.
Seperation of duties between audit and access are essential.
I would not recommend integration with directory if seperation of duties is not possible.
lol what a comparison.
A song of ice and fire, George is on a winner there, re-release book 4 every 2 years with a different cover so people keep buying it. I have it as 2 books split into part 1 and 2, a hard cover and a soft cover. He's draged on the story with the princess overseas, and diverged all of the characters for the sake of dragging the story out. For the record, reading books 1 and 2 I thought it was going to be the best fantasy series I ever read. A bit like oblivion...
Easy and beside the point? You could sacrifice a bit in a floating point number to represent repeating, but I'd hardly suggest that mathematically processing it is easy. You really refer to visual representation, which is not the discussion. I would recommend representing 1/3 using a datatype composed of 2 integers as I said, or there are a few other alternatives suggested in other posts if obtaining the 2 integers is not easily done. Im sure there are many programming 101 type texts which discuss numerical representations of complex numbers.
Did they stop teaching this stuff in first year university? As for the person who posted:
"Try representing 1/3 in any finite number of digits"
well, you and I just did using 2 integers.
A few people have suggested hiding voip and im in different protocols. The point isnt blocking private voip calls but rather voip services offered by their competitors.
I think the bigger story is about how history can be reliably passed down through word of mouth. New Zealand is a great example for several reasons.

I'm just looking forward to an hepatic virtual suit spin off.

He'll hack into the legal system and delete the extradition order.
