    Every single problem you listed above is a POLITICAL problem, not a technical problem. waste? reprocessing and using it in a breeder reactor deals with that. explosions? Pebble bed reactors are melt down proof.

    Chernoble was more like putting a fully automatic weapon to your head and firing a full clip. The Soviets MADE that accident happen, even though they did not intend for it to explode, they set the conditions up for it to occure on purpose by removing all fail safes. Chernoble is not a statement on the saftty and efficasy of nuclea power, it is a statement of the stupidity of people.

    hmmmm............ sounds like..... And I am just going to kind of make a suggestions here, see...... that you might need to update that crap software to the OS X version, or get over your nostalgia if it does not exist on OS X and get a replacement.

    We were JUST suppose to have gotten to petabyte storage.... that is 1000 years from now... at this rate, by the end of the century we will have 100 petabyte drives (which in reality are only 1000 terabytes rather than 1024 terabytes because drive makers cheat you)

    let mr put it to you this way.... you are an idiot. it is a theory based on mathematics, just like General Relativity was based on mathematics. it took many many many years before the precision in instrumentation and the energy was available to test it. Did that make GR a religion? If it makes you feel better. Ed Witten has revised his M-Theory. Through the use of Twistor Geometry he has reduced the number of dimensions to 4, those present in GR.

    remember, it has one button, so you have to get use to holding down teh control key to get the right click... on a laptop, this is fine (I have an iBook) because one large button and a modifier key seem to fit together better and you never miss click. On the desktop, I need two buttons though.

    arg...... dude... your lack of logical thought is amusing. Just because Apple moved away from PPC (the G4) does not mean that they did ti to improve battery life.... The G4 is long in the tooth (very long)... They needed a performance boost. Intel offered one that would fit in a notebook of the design apple wanted.

    as a developer, I find OS X to be very much worth the "apple tax"... but then again, if I bought a PC (I am over the putting machines together phase of my life, I have more important things to do) I would be purchasing one with the same specs as what ever mac I would buy, so the price is near enough that I am not hurting...and now that Apple has intel inside, the machines should get bumps every quarter or sooner when intel releases new versions of a chip line that Apple uses.

    big deal... it is about air movements, the Powermacs had 9 fans, but they were not blowing at high RPMs, so it was quiet and heck.
