    Not all sides of a debate are equal. I have no problem with her deleting posts, I imagine most are just trolls looking for food and nobody needs to read that. The rest are probably idiots who just plain don't know what the hell they're talking about and need to be silenced so that we don't catch the stupid.

    P.Z. Meyers is not some headline grabbing putz like half the republican party. He would have an interested following regardless of whether he even bothered to talk about Kurzweil or not. Kurzweil has a vested interest in trying to shout down dissenting opinion while Meyers has no dog in the fight save illustrating the scientific fallacies and fantasies foisted upon a credulous public by pompous windbags such as Kurzweil.

    I'm sure you've thought of this, but it sounds to me like you should sue Paypal for everything they took from you, plus all the additional damages you've suffered (entire loss of your business), and probably lawyer's fees too. You may even be able to tack some kind of statutory damages on top too.

    After all the time and money it takes to bring suit and win you still have to hound the defendant to get paid. The only recourse to not getting paid is to sue.

    There are already real world examples of safety equipment in the aftermarket making it into driven vehicles and failing and they are taken care of by legal precedents. If you install it your self you're responsible, If you have a mechanic do it, that person is responsible so always have a mechanic who is bonded and insured. Anything sold as safety equipment has to pass requirements laid down by the NHSA. If you just install some joe shmuck designed seatbelts in your car yourself and they fail (inspected or not, though I doubt you would be allowed to use them if they are) you are solely responsible.

    If it were just the media causing this one could expect a good portion of even the most gullible to hear enough contradiction to finally ferret out the truth. The real problem is people in positions of trust that respout biased media coverage again and again to the small groups of people in their sphere. You get enough of these grass-root level fear-mongers telling the same tale and pretty soon you really don't need the big media. These anti-immunization crusaders spread their stupidity much like religion does, and quite often in the same buildings (hint hint)

    If that is man's feeble attempt at geo-engineering then the oceans have us beat by a light-year.Ocean water is the single largest store house of carbon on earth. warming and cooling of that water releases or soaks up carbon diox-and monoxide in amounts that stagger the imagination. Deflecting 1% of the water warming rays from the sun would reduce the amount of CO released by the oceans which would reduce total carbon emission much more than humans and their piddling cars and industry could ever hope to achieve.

    The FSF already has a stable of well qualified lawyers who would gladly go toe to toe with microsoft for the pure pleasure of watching Ballmer and company get on the stand and squirm as the internal argument between telling the truth and needing to spin everything to make the appearance of propriety rages in their soft little heads. If I was a lawyer I would certainly donate my time to see one or two MS drones flirt with contempt charges. I don't hate Microsoft at all, for those who care I'm using XP right now and have a great time gaming with it. What I hate are the constant attacks on my freedom to choose and being treated like a damn thief every time I let automatic update run.

    After you carefully grind(not chop) your beans, you have to have a coffee maker with an insulated caraf so that the only heating is done to the water in the brewing process. Heating plates under brewed coffee burn the delicate brew and cause to be released all of the acids that make coffe bitter and undrinkable. The best maker I have found is the Black and Decker space saver with insulated caraf. Another thing to remember is, Don't scrimp on the beans. Life is too short to drink lousy coffee

    I've thought long and hard about it and I can state with certainty that what I want will never be built. I want a machine that does anything I throw at it with no fuss, never locks up no matter how many things I'm asking it to do, is ready to use before I need it, and completely free of any charges whatsoever. Furthermore it should be completely thought operated (in real time) and instantly reprogrammable to suit my slightest whim. All of this plus instant upgradability and zero downtime with hardware that reacts to new demands by instantaneously rebuilding itself to suit the changing environment. Lastly, The whole setup would be completely portable and unseen while still being instantly accessible. That is my perfect computer
