One reason is "Weight starting at 10 pounds"! That 3.6 GHz is the speed it can jump to on demand....the same as the processor in the Macbook. The actual spec on the link you provided is : "1.73 GHz (2.93 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology), 6MB L3 Cache"
This will no more "destroy one of the principal tenants of capitalism" than the invention of the steam shovel or farm tractor did! In fact, the ability to leverage "labor" in new ways will enable advances in the standard of living and in the availability of goods. This is has been the case with every technological advance in history. Your pessimism is misplaced. People will adapt and thrive. Capitalism will adapt and thrive.
This is a good start. Now it's time to get some balls and cut entitlements and defense. As a true fiscal Conservative, I want the federal government gutted.
There is a fifth level in which the password is used in conjunction with RSA pubilc/private keys. This is what is used in Novell eDirectory. Much more secure than a hash.
I'm continuously amazed at the people who think the App store is required for all Apps. You can complain about it not being free, as in beer, but don't complain that it can't be done.
Actually, I find many Apple users are like me. Wealthy enough to buy whatever computer I want and in no way "left-leaning". I'll bet the real demographic data show that Apple users are more conservative than the general population.
"the build quality of macs vs anything else is not that much different"
So where can I buy a PC laptop built from a beautifully machined block of solid alumminium? The current macbooks are really much superior to anything else.
Not exactly....you'd have to believe that APPL has the opportunity and ability to grow at a rate that combined with their current profits is worth twice what MSFT is worth. When you compare the opportunity in the markets that APPL is pursuing to those MSFT is pursuing that is not an unreasonable position.
Thats even before you factor in their track record in capitalizing on new markets.
Why would you assume that iPad users fall into that demographic? The folks you describe are a small minority of the population. You don't honestly believe that Apple has sold many millions of iPhones and iPads to such a niche market.
I know it breaks your world view to admit it but all you have to do is join Apples iPhone Developer program and then you can run anything you like on your phone. You can complain about the $99 cost but you can't deny there is a way to run any software you like....without jailbreaking.
The only burden on the end user is to select the app for installation in iTunes and their is even a way to automate that. All the other steps are for the developer.
I'm only talking income tax. Get married and have a couple of kids and you will see a difference. Being single gets you screwed. Even so, you should be paying under $2k if your doing your taxes right.
An example from 2009 was:
W2 gross Income: $21,600
Refund including credits: $7900 (includes $4900 EIC, $2000 child credit, $800 making work pay credit)
There was some additional non-taxable combat pay as well.
I said less than 40K and that gross..subtract the std deductions, subtract the child credits, then figure the earned income credit. The result is getting back everything that was withheld plus a bit.
The versions of the i7 they are using were first available at the end of January 2011
You assume wrong. The prices are the essentially the same.
Starting at:
13 inch $1199
15 inch $1799
17 inch $2499
The same as the old models and within a few buck of comparable models....if there were any.

Leaving out both Novell Sentinel and Net Forensics while including MARS and OSSIM?
You can add your home-made apps to iOS too. You need a Mac and an iOS developer membership but you can do it.

Then pay them $99 and become an iPhone developer. Then you can can run any code you like on your phone. Oh, you want it for free...how silly of me.

You, or anyone else, can distribute custom apps to yourself or your company.

Funny, I don't find that in either the state or federal constitution.
There are a number of products available to do it..
One of the best is http://www.novell.com/priviledgedusermanager
There are some open source implementations as well.
If your talking about the Nokia Booklet 3G it's not the same thing at all. As the article below says...

Get your hands on a current macbook pro and you will see a difference.

Not sure where you got the $9.50... They are mostly military, single income, with kids...and they very much live paycheck to paycheck.

It's been going on since the Earned Income Tax Credit was passed which has been a while. No kids will definitely make a difference.
