Not just cuba: Jamaica, Haiti and Trinidad too. But, think of the millions saved by going north instead of south. Can anyone tell me why we still have an embargo with Cuba? This is stupid.
From the article:
The memo seeking daily contributions from July 21 to July 31 was not meant to go public, he said.
Yeah, you really think "NASA asks for urine" is not gonna hit the news?
While using colored markers seems to be funny, as our moderators have noted, this is actually extremely helpful. Taking a "book" of code, a few highlighters and mug of coffee is the best scenario for understanding complex code.
Holy smokes...you're probably wrong. It really drives me nuts when people use services like Google Trends to make a generalization about a populous. It is possible that interest in NASA has fallen in the US, but to make that claim based on a Google Trends search is ludicrous. I like Google, but this is by no means scientific.
I'm really skeptical about this. Like others have said, anything IPTV is probably doomed. I do see a small market for IPTV--how could Akimbo even be big enough to be noticed by AT&T? However, I don't see AT&T bringing any more thunder to it. This might kill it.
Honestly, I don't take that many digital photos, but when I do I just open up a free download called The Gimp. I've worked with photoshop, and I don't know how these new programs work, but I could never justify cuting $500 out of my buget to make a few photos look better when The Gimp has all I need.
I personally go for open standards in government. I think it makes sense that government would try and stay away from proprietary things. But when you look at the rest of the American government, that is not what you see. Take the military for example: the government hires out everything to be made proprietarily (of course there aren't really that many open options either). Then with technology, us techies critisize the government for using what many others are using and for doing what they always do.
But that's what democracy is for, for us to tell them their idiots and show them the right way to do things.
I actually think HTML/CSS/Javascript, if used correctly, can provide an app that is as good as, if not better than, deskop apps. But I do agree that there is a time and a place for each. Poor planning in apps lead to bad apps.
But it's for science!
Yes, this is a good idea--no, not just good. This is a great idea. DRM is awesome!

4.x? What about 3.x?

The first things I thought of were the crazy Leonardo Da Vinci flight sketches. I almost laughed because of the blatant similarities.

... but I'm actually fairly interested in this. Personally, I've wondered when I'd be able to use a both free and legal DVD player in the US.

You always see the mistakes immediately after you post.

Why don't they just turn on the computer with the hard drive in it instead of taking the hard drive out and looking at it later?
