Will the Nazi's again be the villains in Indiana Jones 4?
Frank Darabont said (in March 2003) that the sequel's 1950s setting requires different villains from those in previous installments, which were set in the 1930s. "Those pesky Nazis seem to have departed, which is a shame, because I like those pesky Nazis, because you can just squash them all over the place," Darabont said, with tongue in cheek.
Darabont would not say who the new villains were, but assured that the tone of adventure would be consistent with previous Indy movies. "From the standpoint of the fun of it and the adventure of it, [there will be] no [change]," he said.
Note: Because of the rejection of Darabont's script in 2005, this may or may not remain true in any of the later revisions, rewrites, or the final draft written by Jeff Nathanson & David Koepp
Ah, but when the same thing is said about Microsoft Windows, one is modded down to obivion, called a troll or what not.
Why is it "OK" for Apple to have these issues in their complexity, yet Microsoft stuffers the slings and limp arrows of Apple fanatics when patch Tuesday rolls around?
Well considering most people ( I think the last count was something like 83%) have cable, or some other broadband provider, be it dish or FIOS, they are actually paying for it too...
Um, says who? The EuroFighter was designed in the 80's with mid 90's technology. It can't even keep up technology and performance wise with the Superhornet.
Um, the JSF (actually its not the JSF anymore, its the F-35 Lightning II officially) has about the same radar crossection of the F-22 Raptor, which is markedly more stealthy than the F-117A. I won't even get into your lack of information about the weapon platform superiority the F-35 has over the F-117A, as well as it's ability to carry different weapons...
All the below information from GlobalSecurity.org.
The F-22 represents a significant design evolution beyond the highly successful F-117A Nighthawk stealth fighter, with performance not achievable by today's front-line fighters. Low observable, or stealth, technology has advanced to the point where conventional aerodynamic configurations can be made incorporating low observability without compromising aerodynamic performance or increasing costs significantly. Design development risk was greatly reduced by the performance demonstrated in the dem/val program where angle of attack attitudes up to 60 degrees were flown. The validity of the low observability features of the F-22's design were confirmed by full-scale pole model testing.
Why continue with the JSF?
The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will be:
Four times more effective than legacy fighters in air-to-air engagements
Eight times more effective than legacy fighters in prosecuting missions against fixed and mobile targets
Three times more effective than legacy fighters in non-traditional Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) and Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses and Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD/DEAD) missions
About the same in procurement cost as legacy fighters, but requires significantly less tanker/transport and less infrastructure with a smaller basing footprint
Lets see, NTFS, Index Searches, pattern recognition, text to speech and speech to text, usable pen computing, boot caching, do you want me to continue?
I don't know what world you live in, but Windows (in the Enterprise) continues to grow in the marketplace, proving that Microsoft DOES indeed make stable, secure and responsive products... If you honestly think that Windows Server 2003 can't do all of the above, I not only have a bridge to sell you, I will be more than happy to remove the blindfold you seem to have on rather tight.
How is Microsoft patching ANY different than any other OS patching? Mac's get patches, Linux get patches, and yep (at least in the case of the Mac) it needs to reboot too. Why is this someting people love to point fingers at Microsoft for when everyone else is just as "guilty". Do a little more research on WHY Microsoft reboots for some patches and get back to us m'kay?
Yet more proof that some people are much more intrested in bashing Microsoft than anything else...
Rather well actually. Microsoft just released a new tool to help.

Well the wired Xbox 360 controller works just fine in Vista without any problem at all, so I suppose it shouldn't be any issue.
I think they may have actually won another for DirectX.
I think I just Wii'd myself.
Bravo for a honestly funny post.
Yep, they got one too, but I guess since it's Slashdot, people failed to mention it.
Microsoft won an Emmy for Xbox Live.
Yes, it is wired (for at least the initial release). And all XBox 360 controllers are USB.
Too late. Bill Gates showed IPTV over the Xbox 360 at CES this morning.
Nothing at all happens (other than the PDF opening)... so Vista and Acrobat 8 seem immune.

Or maybe just stay legal and this isn't an issue at all.
Exactly. I've been running the Cisco VPN Client for Vista now for two months. Works fine.
Have you even touched Exchange since 5.5?
By this post, it really doesn't seem so.
Um, Exchange has supported this since Exchange 2003 SP1 was released almost 2 years ago as well...
Stuff like this makes people Linux & SAMBA look very childish.
Well considering most people ( I think the last count was something like 83%) have cable, or some other broadband provider, be it dish or FIOS, they are actually paying for it too...
Like what? Honestly what is a better toolkit for developing games on the PC?

nevermind the fact they have been all Windows and Exchange for almost 8 years now (finished the migration in 1999)...

Maybe its because a lot of the stuff they are working on is incorporated into existing products?
Nah it's just Microsoft so lets blindly bash them
When is the last time Apple came up with something original? iPod? nope, they bought that, iTunes? Same, MacOS X? Same... I can go on and on...
Maybe its all of the above?
And what would be wrong with any of those options for a PhD student?
Um, no, you really need to check your facts. You are quite simply misinformed.
