Nah. Every KDE individual component is installable as of Jan 2005. The 'kde-base' and 'kde-graphics' ebuilds are the old monolithic ebuilds. More info here.
To quote (from memory, but hopefully accurate) the wonderful Eddie Izzard regarding Microsoft's release schedules: "It'll be out tomorrow! Next week! Next month! When we're fuckin' ready, alright?!"
"If, for instance, you purchase and download a CD, burn a copy and give it to a friend and that person puts it on a filesharing network, our system will trace that music back to you and, depending on the legal system of the country you're in, you could be [hit] with an expensive fine," Kip said.
How, exactly? Zhan defended Chuanghui's sale of remarked chips, saying the company makes no attempt to hide what was done to the chips or to pass them off as more valuable processors. "I tell them the truth," he said.
I can't help but wonder, then, why bother masking the CPU's at all?
