As an Englishman, for me it actually goes 16 to marry, for sex, etc..., 17 to drive, 18 to vote and buy drink in a bar.
I say 16 for everything personally, although if the government raises the school leaving age to 18 like they want to, maybe 18.
Same. I'm all for the idea there should be one age at which you become an adult. Once you hit that age, you should be allowed to do anything that is age-limited.
I think 16 is a good age.
And this is where people should stand up and go 'Wait a second, we are completely missing the point!'. The point of Child Pornography laws is to stop children getting exploited. If a child is doing it themselves, they need to be educated and helped.
It's just as crazy they are trying to make drawn items illegal - it may not be tasteful, but it's not actually harming children, so what is the reasoning there?
The site gets to say 'We took it down nicely like you said.' and it still gets spread all over anyway. They get free publicity, good terms with amazon still, and everyone still gets the tool.
Gotta love the internet.
Halo Wars isn't a bad game...

Review: Halo Wars

but it remains a console RTS. Yawn.
I want my RTS to be complex, and far more open with more micro-management, I havn't seen an RTS I've liked since Empire Earth 2, since then, everything has been dumbed down again and again.
I've got, played, and liked Halo Wars. I like the Halo franchise, it's got a good storyline, and the games have been well made. This, true to form, is not a bad game. It's just not revolutionary.
That said, I am tired of people slagging off Halo continuously. Sure, I prefer the Half-Life PC games to Halo, but the Halo games remain excellent - and the game type and map customisation have yet to be beaten for a simplicity vs power balence.

Not only is this impossible to enforce, and filled with loopholes, but it's also rediculous, the whole point of these laws is to protect real children. Unless you want to start protecting the rights of the people getting killed in video games, this is just as stupid.
Next up, people owning ornate garden fountains are now being arrested en-masse.
1) Get some clear wax shoe polish.
2) Rub on disc.
3) Rub off excess.
4) ???
5) PROFIT!
And yes, that actually does work. It fills in the scratches in the plastic, works just as well as the disk repair things which scratch all the plastic away to remove scratches (irony there), and also means you can do it as much as you want to a disc.
Why should all minors suffer just because some are idiots? If some are doing something illegal, you can give them a selective curfew, if not, then they should be allowed to go out whenever they wish.
Sure, give us open uTorrent and it'll work great.
It may have it's flaws, but my personal favourite client remains Deluge.

Oh, Indeed. And I'm saying you are right, and the system isn't.

Actually, as far as I'm aware, Spotify isn't open in the USA yet, or at least, it was open here in the UK far, far earlier than in the USA.
The Anime was called Planetes, and was a good series.

Pfft. You are just being pedantic (no, I'm not new here), what I was saying was my opinion on the matter, and was simply another way of saying that.
That's because that's obviously the evil-cat-mouth smiley. Come on.
I see your point, however, I find that the variation in charachters and viewpoint is enough.
Yeah. Seriously. I judge authors based on how much I enjoy reading their books. He rates very highly for me.
The man is one of the best authors ever to have graced the earth.

Well, they didn't miss much, one of the most boring, predictable shows I've seen.
+1 Dear-God-I-Hope-That's-A-Joke.
Sarcasm is hard to do online.
Yes. It's called Deluge.
Yeah, All of my Azureus patches come via BitTorrent!
(Kidding, don't use Azureus)
Whatever you think about Bill Gates or M$ as a software provider, you have to respect the man as a businessman.
Possibly the funniest thing I've seen in some time.
