Seriously. If their target market is English speakers and the people doing the translating don't speak English as their primary language... dude. Seriously. Nevermind the privacy issues here...
That's actually not a bad idea! Only problem, if you want to call it that, is when we go to electric / efficient hybrid cars. Then what? If I have an electric car for example, I pay nothing and you pay for everything. If everyone has an electric car, nothing gets paid for. A more realistic approach would be for state motor vehicle departments to check the cars mileage once a year. Based on that mileage, your taxes are computed and the info is sent to your insurance company who charges you accordingly.
There are rumors out there that Nagra3 has already been hacked, though not confirmed to my knowledge. Back in the Nagra2 days, N2 had been hacked for years and it was a boon for pirates. Dish recently switched all it's channels to Nagra3 and pretty much overnight, all the pirates TV's went blank. Currently, the only 'solution' that exists for the pirates is via card sharing schemes where an actual subscriber(s) shares their card keys via an Internet Key Sharing (IKS) service. Though not technically a hack, IKS allows for the same capability. And so the cat and mouse continues.... Don't ask me how I know all this.
I live is Southern AZ where Interstate 10 runs and a road which I am driving on often. Over the last few months I've noticed a steady flow of "oversize load"s on the freeway that contain rather large wind turbine components heading eastbound, presumably heading to TX from somewhere in CA. Perhaps these are Mr. Pickens, but who knows. Bottom line is there sure have been a lot of these steadily flowing through AZ...
I want to browse "safely"; protection against most XSS and sh1t like scripts reading my browser history, etc. However, I want the sites that I visit to "work" at the same time. Ya, NoScript is great, but with sites globally disallowed, the Internets are useless.
Can anyone offer some suggestions to reasonably lock down FF where a balance is struck between security and usability??
Seriously man, what exactly is the fascination with twitter? Everyone is on twitter and if you want to hang with the "cool kids", OMG, you must be on twitter! Newscasters on twitter, politicians on twitter... all the while I'm saying WTF!?
I have often wondered what the fascination is with these social networking sites. myspace, facebook and now twitter. I don't understand it at all. Does anyone out there have any insight or theory why people blow their load over these sites?? I'd appreciate it. In the mean time, just the phrase "social networking" makes me sick. Yet here I am posting on./... am I being hypocritical? I'm willing to accept if I'm wrong and just being a jackass...
I certainly wouldn't want to try this tactic anywhere out west..
Nonsense! There are plenty of dirt (not gravel) roads here in Arizona, straight and amazingly smooth! I can get up to 80+ MPH on these roads, and why not, usually these roads don't come accompanied with speed limits nor highway patrol.
Granted, the weather is fairly predictable (sunny) and traffic is not very heavy on these roads... still, they are a pleasure to drive and I wish there were more of them!
SECONDED... Greece has more HOT women per capita than any other place I've ever been.
A buddy and I went for holiday there a few years ago. We got home and sorted through our photos that we had snapped in Greece, a good two thirds were pictures of various womens' backsides! Take that Greek Data Protection Authority!
Nevermind the Acropolis, Greek women are amazing!:D
"Ritter said that waves of disruption would begin to emerge next year, when computers would jitter and freeze. This would be followed by brownouts â" a combination of temporary freezing and computers being reduced to a slow speed.'"
Seriously, was this interview given to grade-school kids? "...jitter and freeze..." WTF is this guy talking about?
It's seems to me that if someone is going to be giving and interview regarding the Internet, they should probably know something about it first. Just a thought.
RTFA, are you crazy!?
(My bad...)
I'm confused. Living "off the grid" means NOT using a credit card. By my definition anyway...
This is about as interesting and informative as everything else being posted to Twitter!!
:D

"WTF?" Exactly! This article is total nonsense.
