I 100% agree with this. Marketing and the press are making this huge push for data on phones, showing us grand depictions of watching live TV on our phones and keeping streaming stats and video and music. Problem is, services are not widely available, those handsets are not in the majority of the consumers hands, and the battery life is not capable of handeling what it could be used for. And the quality of such services is still in work. Simple data connections and SMS are wide, but even MMS is not cross carrier at this time. And like I really want to raise my already $70 bill another $70 for an unlimited data plan.
It makes me sick to think that I might not have control over my music collection I have worked so hard to obtain for the last 13 years. Most of the music I listen to is not so mainstream, but their lables are. I get more and more nervous everytime I purchase a CD. I am not a pirate! Free my Music!
I think there is a lot more to this story than what we are letting on here. On Furthurnet they pulled the Live phish shows because they were soundboard recordings specifically released for purchase. The band has no problemo with bootlegging, but the released archival material is their's to protect. It's getting blown out of proportion. I like fan boots better than released stuff because you hear individuals, freaks you out with headphones on in public. also, some are quality and some sound like the mic was in their pocket. It's a little game you can play, makes you appreciate a band that can play live...

Does anyone else find that this link takes them to the FBI homepage?

At last, the sandwich heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor...
