Wow, talk about irony. In an effort to prevent putting a kink in the moderation system, two separate mods have modded you Funny and Interesting. Great job, you've wasted a total of 3 mod points today.
And now, with my post, they'll waste even more on me:P
I took the AB test two years ago and got a 5 as well, and the instructor didn't even teach us the B material. As a few posters above have suggested, there isn't really any "science" in the computer science class until you get to the stacks, queues, and so forth. I was amazing the number of students in the class who had next to no idea what they were doing. Ability to post on 1337 forums, chat with your friends on AIM, and hook up a printer does not translate into actual computer science. What they're doing is watering down the material, and it's a terrible idea. The sooner a student can find out that computer science is or isn't something that they want to peruse, the better. Imagine taking the A course and getting a 3 in high school, choosing CS as a major, getting to a real CS course, and then realizing that you hadn't even scratched the surface?
This is sort of a huge jump that you're making. Just because we can stop cells from dying doesn't mean that immortality is just over the horizon. Did you ever stop and think there is a reason cells die? Your cells are replaced every day with new copies as a natural process. I've read that, because of this process, no part of your body is more than 10 years old at any given time.
At least, before they got bought out. They've had this policy in the US for quite a while now. Believe me. I know. Unless, of course, the UK means "suspected" as in "we have a feeling you're doing something wrong." In my case (both strikes) they had names of files I was sharing etc etc. Must have been in the swarm.
You said it. I would have loved for things to get shaken up as much as the last slashdotter, but when The Office got the axe, all I could do is curl up into a little ball, rock back and forth, and console myself with the words "Michael Scott is out there, somewhere, making people's lives miserable in a comedic way."
We don't have to write legislative bills to convince artists to make terrible music.

According to Wikipedia, it's a reference to the old BASIC programming language. GOTO 10, if I remember correctly, would basically have taken you back to the beginning of the program.
C'mon you guys, you know that Congress is just trying to keep us a country. We need the crazy right wing republicans to make wars so we don't seem like we can get pushed around, and we need the bleeding heart liberals to make it seem like we don't support the war at the same time. That way... we can SAY one thing and DO another, and no one gets blamed!
I'm a little bit country And I'm a little bit Rock and Rollll!!
I think you might be surprised how many teens out there like Radiohead. I've found that typically it's students in higher classes, but Radiohead appreciation goes around a lot of circles.

Please don't let this become a slashdot meme. Please don't let this become a slashdot meme. Please don't let this become a slashdot meme.
There, I said it.

Hey, the linked video DOES have audio! It's in space for christ sake!
that is, by far, the best post I have ever read on slashdot.
Oh. Thanks :D. Mod points for this man! He was actually informative.
What does that even mean?
An anonymous coward down towards the bottom posted this link to something similar. This one Tennessee apparently. It's no joke :(

I get the feeling my fuschia on lime would probably hurt most people a lot.

CS is too easy anyways. I opted for Physics
They wouldn't possibly oppose someone bugging the session room while they discuss, would they?
At the risk of being modded off-topic or redundant, I'd just like to say, that is impressive.

I needed it to be true. Needed.
Aww, take the fun out of it ;)
I have lost faith in humanity.

He is using irony. Only an emacs user could have that much insight.

I was getting worried that they might get suspicious that I still wank to porn despite the fact that I was born in 1901. Viagra works magic, amirite?
