They made it hook in in response to the Netscape trial for Microsoft's competitive practices with marketing Internet Explorer. Netscape was trying to get the result of forcing Microsoft to remove the browser from the OS so they would compete on an even field. Bill Gates ordered them to make it where that couldn't be done. Microsoft had already made this argument in court but Netscape was able to prove they were lying. This led to Windows Millennium that they backported this "feature* to Windows 98.
You'd be amazed then at just how many of societies current problems boil down to this behavior. Conflict in the Balkans and Arabian states come to mind.
Not any worse than football/basketball stars and movie stars. All have about the same track record of being ahem "quality" role models for out children. Since we idolize them instead of doctors, scientists, etc., the race for the first to spin down the drain picks up pace.
Greg was one of the nicest guys to hang out with in addition to running the companies without being a dick (Steve Jackson's polar opposite). Of course they were stomped by the evil cash grabbing juggernauts of Games Workshop *hiss*, WOTC (Wizards of the Coast) *spit* and Hasbro *piss* but, have been able to hang out in the industry regardless. I wish the others still roving the halls of Chaosium my condolences and hope we don't lose any more too soon. A toast to one of the fallen greats!!!
I remember once that I switched a bad security setting with the intention of switching it right back. Well, I forgot to switch it back. Thankfully a guy from 4chan hacked my system and left me a note to fix it without doing any damage. Left him a thank you note. If you're bitching about this, you're an ungrateful asshole.
That's almost certainly why they want it to go away and die. They want you to buy their new, shiny, expensive console, not continue to play your 10+ year old console that they no longer make money off off (they don't give a damn about the rest, this is SONY after all). So, if it won't die naturally, they'll kill it with any method at their disposal.
Considering that it stated that there was no widespread fraud in this article, it seemed a little unnecessary to back up my assertion that there was no widespread fraud and thus this was a waste of resources. But, if you feel you need more studies to prove it, there are plenty out there by many different states' welfare departments, not that I think you'll believe them, either.

If they want to become independent and successful, wonderful. I wish them the best of luck and we should do everything we can to make it happen. But, if they want to sit on their ass and do nothing on our dime, they fucking deserve it after what we did!
Satellite is not a viable replacement for many high-speed internet needs. You can't use it for any sizeable Netflix/Hulu usage due to bandwidth limits and online gaming... forget it.
Wow I have never had a post with so many moderation changes (16! as of this writing). The replies I have been getting also vary a lot between those who feel they right to treat people differently on whatever criteria they see fit and those who feel people should be treated equally. I saw a lot of posts about how women and people of color don't deserve respect unless it is earned but, usually, I find these are, hypocritically, people who believe they deserve respect when they metaphorically walk in the door. Also more often than not, they'll give white males respect up front but, everyone else must earn it and, in what says the most about their character, is that they can't or won't see what the problem with that is.
So, basically, it sounds like he's taking issue with the fact that they expect him to treat dark skinned people and people with boobs as equals and with respect. We all know that's crazy talk and the work of the evil SJW conspiracy. (If you can't tell that I'm speaking sarcastically, you need help.)
