    GIJoe has always been multi-national and multi-gender.

    In 1966's you could get the 12" G.I. Joe SOLDIERS OF THE WORLD SERIES which included:German, Japanees, Russian, British , Australian, Canadian and French

    In 1967 you could get the Action Nurse (Female)

    In 1967 he was also a race car driver and state trooper.

    In 1967 he was also a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police

    I believe that northern Iran (no joke intended) has the highest background radiation found any where in the world. It is many times the US acceptible limit.     All that is required is a oversite panel. At the first hint of something not exactly right the panel would have the athority to halt the proess and investigate the problem.

    This coupled with the requirment of P contries to be active participents within the ISO would also go along way to preventing this method of abuse.

    In addition say you have to be an active observer for 2 years before applying for P status or something like that and in order to maintain your P status you have to be an ongoing active participent in n% of the processes up for discussion.

    First off terrorists are not a threat, at most like car accidents they are a annoyance blown into earth shattering headlines by the news media and politicians. Even counting 9/1, on average, you are more likely to be killed by an animal attack or by your spouse than by a terrorist.

    Now on the strategic value of a off earth military bases.

    • Lets see you cannot really shoot it down like you can a spy satellite. Mind you from the moon it only allows you to see about 1/3 of the earths surface at a time but you do see all of it every 24 hours.
    • Then there is the the stationing of you nuclear deterrent. You put it on the moon and you get more than 30 minutes notice that you are being attacked.
    • Then there is the sovereignty claim for resources etc once technologies are developed to process them.
    • You can still launch spy satellites into earth obit safely once all the others have been shot down and created a debris cloud around the earth.

    The lesson has been learned. The problem is how do you get permission to launch a satalite with a nuclear (alpha partical emitter) power genarator when you get every brain dead anti-nuclear chicken little screaming that you will cause the death of all humanity.

    The US site was closer than the nearest Canadian facility and therefore it was the least expensive solution. By the way it was not so much that the facilities did not exist where she lived it is just that they were full. I guess that Canadians are having more kids.

    Note that the national health insurnace system that is availible to 'all' Canadians regardless of their financial resources, paid for the entire trip and survices. We don't duplicate resources everywhere but we do send people to approved medical resources, when required and justified. This way it keeps costs down. Rebuttles using special cases, like premature quads, will be ignored.

    I would as him if he ever photocopied sections of a library refrence book while researching a paper and then did he share them with any one.

    It is an exccelent place to start to get a full understandig of the issues involved.

    One of the public affairs TV programs up here in Canada did a test. They put a bunch of kids, ages 3-5, in a room with a bunch of child proof pill bottles from various manufacturers using different 'safty mechanisums'. Each child had their own set. Each bottle contained a few pieces of candy. With in 5 minutes all the bottles were open. None were proken.

    The simplest and cheapest way to stop / reduce a kids ability / opportunity to access porn, an other such nefarious sites, on the Internet is to put the computer in a well traveled place in the home, say beside the kitchen and not up in there room where they cannot be supervised directly.



    Its called 'parenting' and it really works.

    The Iranian Government currently has the technology to produce:

    • anti-ship cruse missiles
    • medium and short range ballistic missiles
    • weapons grade plutonium

    And you think that stopping a not for profit, model aircraft UAV building group is going to limit their ability to produce a military UAV.

    So how many other open source projects may have secret Iranian participants, shall we shut them all down.

    How about shutting down Linux because it can be used by the Iranians to build super computers like they do in the west to test bomb designs.?


    Lets ban all knowledge because the terrorists may get at it.

    It was not a blow up rocket fuel type of explosion, it was a ruptured presure vessel not even part of the rocket, escaping gas caused a preasure wave that did the damage. Nothing spectacular, it happens from time to time in industrial settings where high pressure are used.
