    What this story really shows is that this little country treats all its businesses the same. No one gets special treatment just because they are a huge US based multi-national.

    What suprizes me is the '9/11' (dramatic music playing) did not have anything to do with bombs, nuclear attacks, biological agents et la. It had every thing to do with the fact that the aircraft industry had know for over 30 years that if hijackers can get to the flight deck of a plane they can control it. Had the cockpit doors been reinforced and locked as was initially sugested in the 1970s after the first waves of aircraft hijackings and after every one since, '9/11' (dramatic music playing) could never have happened.

    People will not be sitting around for decades wondering what to do. They will start to put the pieces back together right away. The thing to remember is that the infrastructure of society will still be there, railroads, powerlines, warehouses. It will just be broken, it will not have vanished. If it is there it can be repaired. Remember, the first lightbulbs were hand blown with hand made filiments and some of them have lasted for decades.

    Actually there will be too much knowlage, technology and industralization just lying around for that to ever happen. After all every car has an altinator that can be jury rigged to generate electricity and once you have power you can get things running again.

    It is generally accepted that the increases in polar populations are atributed to conservation programs and not global warming. However, the decrease in the Hudsons Bay populations are attributed to the decrease of sea ice which adversly effects their feeding environment.

An inexpencive, relativly low tech, mass producable first strike weapon.

    Based on reports of what type of explosive they were trying to make. The police saved their lives.

    Peroxide based explosives are very very tricky things that can even blow up by being exposed to light. In most countries you are not even alowed to transport them.

    Like the binary explosives before them, yes it can be done in theroy but not in practice. Does anyone else see a pattern here...

    Ok so why do the Americans express a general anti French atitude when it is really the French government's desisions you do not like. Remembering of course they, the French political types, like their American counterparts forget all about the general population once they get elected.
