X-COM plays great with DOSBOX. I use a frontend to DOSBOX, D-Fend.
Yes, X-COM is my all time favorite. It looks outdated, but no other game has equaled its gameplay in 12 years. Some players want a remake with realistic graphics. I don't. I think the cartoonish graphics are better for a game like this. Put realistic graphics into such game, and I'd have nightmares every night.
Why doesn't the article state the obvious: All those zombie computers use MS windows. So, unfortunately, this problem is here to stay.
We need a real Justice League: Anonimous heroes living in the shadows, who will put a bullet to criminals' heads when the long arm of the law can't reach them.
Some of you miss the point completely. Mandriva isn't after iTunes neck. It's trying to carve a niche market: That of Linux users. They add the other clients just to better their chances of profit. And the music offering not being the popular bands is no problem at all: Linux users aren't looking for gangsta rap, they have a brain, and use it.
"Given that they likely won't use DRM with their downloads (after all, a Linux distro doing DRM would be quickly abandoned by many of its users and be excommunicated by RMS)... that would seem to mean that the major labels would not allow their songs to be put on it, counting out the majority of popular music today."
So then they'd have to rely on selling music from among the rest of million os musicians on the planet? That's a positive in my book. Using the FLAC format means they could sell classical music, something we classical lovers hadn't considered before, since any other format previously available sucked for such hi-end purposes.
Mandriva, that's a brilliant move.
This will cost IBM countless of millions of dollars over the next few years. Wouldn't it be cheaper to spend a few grand and pay Bruce Willis to kill Gates and Ballmer?
Or why not build a terminator? Oh yeah, it would have Lenovo parts and turn on the americans in a blink. Darn chinese are too smart.
"The findings support the argument for global warming as a result of human interference rather than natural climate change."
Yeah? And what caused the previous ice age to finish? Men? Oil-based vehicles? This isn't just stupid, it's insane!!
There are three types of windows users...

This article is spot on. Two weeks ago, I started listening to a continuous sound, high in pitch, all day and all night. I've gone to two doctors, gone through some tests, and yes, unfortunately, I have damage in the middle and inner ears. I'm unable to hear the highest frequencies, and ironically, that makes me hear, or "feel", this high freq sound 24/7. I'm under treatment now, but the loss may be irreversable. I'm just 40, and until recently, used to listen to Beethoven at the highest volumes, mostly at work.
Even the best music can hurt you.:-$
So kids, heed my words and when listening to, whatever! with earbuds, be very careful.

"4 days to exceed Mac sales." Lets not compare apples to... lemons.
Is this the NASA what everyones quotes or references, as if they were always perfect, precise, infallible? Hahahaha...
No FLAC? No, thanks.
If there's one thing that's brought down PCG's quality standards over the years, it's this thing called Greg Vederman.

Does this beta still use the same pathetic non-informative dog-slow downloads screen of 1.5?
No FLAC support? Sorry, no, thank you. Next!
30 mins? The Windows XP Security Competition ended in 30 seconds.

So will it end up all being a conspiracy masterminded by Microsoft to kill Linux? But Microsoft always plays fair, who would have thought!
Use Ultraedit's Find in Files. It will search for a string in all file types specified within a directory and all subdirectories within it.
