He won't see any of my money. I was watching as he continued to talk about being able to do what he wants with his hardware. Then watched him to say I know this info is going to lead to piracy and yet still proceeded to do exactly what would lead to it. I know it's not his fault but making it as public as he did was all about him being in the spotlight and not shit about anyones "rights". So he wanted attention. Now he has it. Enjoy it hotz. Your fighting against someone because you found and divulged corporate secrets not methods to obtain it. And you don't think they have anything against you?
What I love the most is the fact that no matter where you hear this story it always starts with "Rumor has it" and yet idiots galore flock to speak regarding said travesty. As if it's already happened. It's a rumor people. You know, let me help those who are having a hard time...

Enjoy!
Is that by winning this contest I, transversely, will be required to spend the 2 days for "vacation" deleting all traces of the broken software that will be included with the laptop??? This doesn't sound like a prize to me...
Holy shit people still use ICQ??? I thought it fell off the face of the map... I mean who says "Hey what's your ICQ" or "Are you on ICQ?"... It's been forever since ICQ was anything but a novel messenger service... I mean really???
Headaches, incidentally, is a problem with all consumer home 3D TVs. They will give the vast majority of people a headache after 10 minutes. That's a fact!
Right because I'm absolutely sure no one has done any research towards this effect before producing a multi-billion dollar production plan. Because you know just selling a TV doesn't mean you make a lot of money. Look at the PS3 on it's own. It's a loss for Sony to produce but they do it because the software is what nets them the most profit. I'm pretty sure that your "vast majority" is only speculation at this time as I have several friends who own an HDTV with 3D capabilities and out of the several movies we have watched not one of us have experienced discomfort. So you know maybe we just aren't a part of the "vast majority". I'm not saying 3D is perfect or won't cause any issues, but what I am saying is that lambasting it completely because "someone said so" is not distinct proof. I have yet to see papers produced that state the "vast majority" of marketable consumers will experience headaches when viewing 3D in the home. I would be willing to read though. As long as their is homework to back it up.
You can look at Russian releases of DVD's. Pirating is so prolific there that the movie theaters produce and output (close to-) DVD quality movies just for the region because otherwise they wouldn't make a dime. Almost immediately after the release of a movie in the theaters there it's pretty much on the street at that time. All caused by the fact that almost no one could afford to do it any other way than bootlegs.
Now take the US where movie ticket prices are already astronomical and getting higher and higher with over priced food and drink to add to the night. It's going to become unbelievably hard to obtain anything without some very harsh Digital Rights Management which will increase the cost and decrease the quality of the music/movies. Sigh. ACTA will give them any and all the power they could ever want. ACTA is an Abomination of Rights Manufactured by Assholes.
Take into account that most jobs out there are offering less and less especially for IT positions... And like it was said before make sure your (and your employer's) intentions are 100% clear before taking a job... And unlike 9% of America right now be happy you have a position instead of a cardboard box... Aside from that more individuals need to take legal action against their employers simply because at one time it was a workers market and now it's an employer's market... Incentives used to be the reason you took a job... And they fought for you to come work for them... But look around... Those abandoned buildings aren't because someone is on vacation...

What is beyond the scope of the article and this story is that it has become so much easier to obtain luxuries in this world than it is to obtain the basics of life. The easiest thing in the world to obtain should be what you need not what you want. But we all know that's not going to change. In my eyes. It's just sad. But what do I matter?
Look at it this way. Why stifle this type of innovation when it seems to be gathering a solid following. That and beside the fact that as America grew in leaps and bounds and then began outsourcing all of its jobs. Now we can sit back and watch as China does the same. I can't wait to see China begin outsourcing to America.:-)
(Yes I do realize that won't happen but for crying out loud whats wrong with a little jibber-jabber here and there right?)

Can we protest or possibly vote off posters like this... Not that there are many if hardly any on/. but I mean looking back it seems Roland either doesn't have his head screw'd on right or he's honestly (and shamelessly) plugging himself and his site... I mean come on... They say you have to love yourself before you can love anyone else but even Narcissus(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissus_( mythology)) gave something to someone else at one time... Roland all we ask is if you would give us something other than yourself...

All the strategy guide you'll ever need on the Nintenboxatarstation PSPDS 2!!!
I totally agree... I can't believe I let me mouth run over without considering fundamental rights as just that "fundamental"... But all things aside... Great post... That was my first post on/. and just felt like I had to say something on the matter... I'm a non conformist like most/.er's so I wanted to speak my mind... I mean that's what this is for right... Well unless of course I was speaking my mind while attending medical college... LOL... Anyways... Great post...

I can see where both sides are complaining over this... I mean on one hand you have someone just trying to blow off steam... And on the other you have someone in a very prestigious place... What the/. poster forgot to add from the story is "Was the blog really anonymous?"... "Did the student name any names at all?"... Did he leave a prelude to any names or actual people... I mean seriously... If he named them then yeah he deserves a swift kick in the a$$... But if not then obviously he had a bad day and just needed to relax a bit in his own way... And don't give me the freedom of speech crap... Yes you can say what you want... But when you are in a legally binding contract (which I'm sure most medical schools require) then your words about a certain person in the medical school can bring you down... It could be part of the contract... Right??? And don't even start with the "oh well when your in a medical school they teach you to respect your profession and always conduct your self in that manner" BS... I work in Hospitality... And your going to tell me that all persons in a medical profession act professional all the time... Evidently you haven't been to a bar lately or maybe stopped by a New Years Eve party... I grant you this... Most of the "dedicated" medical professional's out there do conduct themselves extremely professionally almost 99% of the time because the "dedicated" one's are working 24/7 keeping the quality of life above the rest of the world... So that's my rant.. Take it as you will... But when did the government get involved in this... What does it have to do with them... I mean honestly... Did someone sue... Was their words of the President in the blog... Blah... Always butting in...
