  1. WHOA! on Sandals and Ponytails Behind Slow Linux Adoption · · Score: 1

This is one of the most messed up bunch of comments I have ever seen....anywhere.

  2. Re:Innovative dick comparison on Intel Unveils New Chips to Battle AMD · · Score: 1

    (sig) Great UHF quote!!!!

  3. Re:There's a reason scanners are big on Pen-Sized Color Scanner Reviewed · · Score: 1

If you were to use a tilt-shift lens I think you would overcome that issue rather quickly. I have seen images "scanned" with Canon cameras using tilt-shift lenses and it works rather well....

  4. Re:The one positive thing about this..... on Intel and Skype Exclude AMD · · Score: 1

It just makes me wonder about deals in the past we didn't know about. Intel has done a great job of maintaining their maketshare through the years, this isn't the first time and certainly not the last. I expect that as more and more options become available deals like this will continue...maybe even *gasp* become standard to the industry. The automotive folks do it with parts makers alot (as I understand it....)

  5. Re:This isn't about suicide. It's about MURDER. on Internet Suicide Pacts Surge in Japan · · Score: 1

OK, those fools and their comet...better? You're right about Jonestown, my mistake.

  6. Re:Culture shouldn't be making "Hikikomori" on Internet Suicide Pacts Surge in Japan · · Score: 1

Culture, plain and simple. It's the same reason they had kamikaze pilots in WWII. Their culture is all about honor. We might find a person who disembowels themself to be nuts, but to them that is about the best thing to do if you *want more karma.* How's that for subliminal?

  7. Re:This isn't about suicide. It's about MURDER. on Internet Suicide Pacts Surge in Japan · · Score: 1

    Uh, Jonestown anyone....

  8. Re:Been done before? on Network-Monitoring Data Put to Music · · Score: 1

I seem to remember a toy someone built back in the Win 98 days that did the same thing, translating network traffic into MIDI tones....the noise it produced was hardly melodic though.

  9. Dead Hacker on Acquittal of German Wikipedia · · Score: 1

Wasn't it already decided his name was out there for all to see anyway???

  10. Re:This is to be expected on Yahoo Allegedly Sells Reporter Out to Chinese Authorities · · Score: 1
Yahoo! is a publicly traded corporation. Publicly traded corporations have one duty -- to make profit. If the Board of Directors thought that they'd make more money by turning in "dissident journalists", then they will do so.
How exactly does showing that they bend over to any government's request making the company money??? I'm sorry, buth there is no way...even in China the population will realize that the it is unsafe to use the search engine...and the advertising clicks fade away.
