The mark on her forehead isn't a tattoo, it's
a Hindu mark of the sort known variously as
tilaka, bindi, bindu, or pottu. These marks

  5. Font size is very important on Tips for Teaching Seniors About the Internet? · · Score: 1

From my experience teaching old people to use the web, the first and most important thing is to teach them how to crank the font size _way_ up. This makes a _huge_ difference, and if you don't do it, they won't enjoy it. My parents (both in their seventies) are now completely weaned away from printed newspapers.

This "windowing" scheme sounds just like what
X/Open has been recommending for some time now.
    See their white paper at
    http://www.UNIX-systems.org/version2/whatsnew/ye ar2000.html
The current revision is dated 6/8/98, but the
same idea is present in versions going back at
    least to 9/12/97.
However, X/Open recommends specific dates, ie.
    0-68 means 19xx, and 69-99 means 20xx.

Sure, he's in the corporate world now, but he he's been doing pretty damn well for us for _decades_. He has amply earned this opportunity to represent our interests, and I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt until his actions prove otherwise.
