The ending of Mission Impossible involved a jigsaw puzzle (it was pretty easy) then there was a little cut-scene. I finished the game last year playing it on my ipaq:)
A mate of mine got a 3g phone the other week and we watched some sky tv on it down the pub. Don't think my mate will be watching it much though as he's registered blind!
I'd just like to add to parent - a good way to make your cv/resume stick out from a pile is to print it out on high quality, thick paper. Maybe even choose paper with a slight hint of colour (but not bright pink!).
On a side note - I had a telephone interview for a contract abroad - I couln't miss the opportunity to do it in the nude drinking a can of beer... I got the job.
1.I am certainly no zealot. It's a bit of software for gawds sake - I like them all:)
2.I was not Linux bashing (Bash-ing - pun not intended) - just merely pointing out a problem *I* had with Linux - of course it's fix-able - everything is if you put a bit of time & effort into it.
3.I've also had umpteen problems with XP through the years (zealot - moi?).
4.I like the current Virtual Machine solution 'cos I can play with both toys at the same time - if I didn't have this option I'd spend some time fixing the wifi prob.
5.All my laptops default boot into Linux - so... n'yah! (nothing like a childish comment when you can't think of anything intelligent to say)
I *can* configure X. My wifi card kills it so I have to reload my X configuration file. Not a major problem at all - I'd rather my *wifi* card didn't do that.
Typical troll - didn't read the post

I agree with you entirely - *people* are better teachers. I remember my dad teaching me chess at a young age (me - not my dad) - it was *sooo* much fun huddling down over the board with me asking question after question.
Teaching someone a game is also a bonding process. I've taught adult friends games such as Poker, Uno, Backgammon, Combat Flight Sim;) - and it's always been a really fun time where we've *bonded* that little bit more.
Sharing your intelligence with anyone - especially a kid - is fun.
I commented on a crud bit of Linux behaviour (wifi card killed video star) - It was kinda on-topic...
You comment on how you use Linux seamlessly (and you are an *expert*). You mention about using Linux for a few years and then check back! You sad mofo! I've been programming Unix boxes for a living for the last five years so don't get all "houlier-than-thou" on me matey.
Think I'm tellin' lies? Look up IVR & Periphonics - they're the things I program and they're very much Unix. So don't give me no "use it for a couple of years" crap.
My dual boot laptop (XP - Linux) looses (sp?) all it's video settings if I boot it into Linux (makdrake 10) with the WIFI PCMCIA card in????? Eh? I then have to re-install the video drivers (nvidea) just to get X working. What a joke.
I now run linux as a virtual machine whilst running in XP and - bless - Linux works fine.
I'm not trolling - I think Linux is great (I program Unix boxes for a living) - I just don't get the whole "Linux is all I use" mentality. Why make life hard?
As they say in the darts championships... "Flame ON!";)
Everyday - I guarentee most of us get real spam through the post (aka - snail mail) - this must cost millions yet is not seen as intrusive.
I hate it just as much as email spam - it also involves a lot more work getting rid of it (trips to the recycle centre etc). Governments have jumped on the net spam-wagon and sprouted garbage without any kind of rational or intelligent thought - just like my comment.
LOL - that made me smile because when I see something in a game that's "real-world" I can then go and be a mass-ass-mofo which I'd never be in real-life (i'm on parole). Doing doughnuts in a Walmart/Tesco car-park - Bring It On!
If I'm driving round in GT5 and there's adverts on the billboards - hell - it'll be more "real-life" (like *I* frequently drive fast cars round race tracks in real life so I know what I'm talking about). I really don't see a problem here as long as the games makers do it subtly. I'm sure I've played games in the past (maybe Max Payne?) where the drinks machines were either Coke or Pepsi... that's not invasive - it's realism and hopfully good (financially) for the games maker.
On a side note - imagine if the "inter-level loads" were like TV adverts - that would *really* suck. They (the games makers) need to get this right.
My two home pc's are both laptops (it's a space thing - even though I have 16 USB devices stuck in one so I may as well not bother) - I can honestly say that they never run "dog slow". You can run Avid on them whilst listening to mp3s, surfing the web and making toast and they don't give a dogs doo-doo.
I think laptops have a bad press as under-powered machines (or dogs) - but they're as good as a decent desktop.
What I'm trying to say (under the influence) is that the power management of a laptop chip does not effect its performance. They can be sprightly little mothers!
Thanks to CPM (Chip Power Management (I made that one up)) - you can drag the uptime up from 24 hours to - oooooh, maybe 36 hrs before it melts down:)
Yeah - and Mr Gates is going to solve world hunger by 2006...
May be a bit off topic but I have an anonymous email site - is this considered spam? The recipient didn't ask for the email so I guess it is. If this is the case then should these kind of sites be illegal too? Then what about e-card sites?
Did a quick google on definition of spam and got this:
To indiscriminately send unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially commercial advertising in mass quantities. Noun: electronic "junk mail".
Looks like a good story for a blatant plug :)
Anonymous email you can reply to http://www.anonomail.net./

I had one of these years ago.

For as long as you are working in that current position/contract.
Not sure if the fee increases if you get a pay rise or if it's a flat fee?
Hmmmmm - and what's that got to do with Google?
I gave my gran a windows pc and she gave it me back.
:)
True!
I was going to use the phrase "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" but it didn't seem appropriate
Will everyone *please* calm down.
:)

Now - lets go out and play nicely.
LOL - I didn't mean it as a troll. I probably could fix the script causing the problem *but* my net savvy 90 year old gran *wont* know how to fix it.
Have you ever tried teaching vi to anyone?

Ho-hum - we're all doomed anyway
"mass-ass-mofo" - that sounds like a wide-bottomed-unsociable-idiot.
What I meant was "MAD-ass-mofo"
sorryandallthat.
