A degree from India is absolutely meaningless. They have a "university" practically on every street corner because Coder has become their #1 export. Zero accreditation for almost all of them, and from my 16 years of experience in the industry the "programmers" they churn out are worse than someone after a 3 week boot camp out here.
Just started on book 3, Emperor of Thorns. Really like the setting and first person narrative. The threads he weaves in from years past are well done too.
Computer literacy I understand, buy why is computer science required? Thats like saying everyone needs architecture training so they can be carpenters.

Java is a powerful programming language, but its also very easy to write code in. Meaning you dont have to have any understanding of machine architecture or memory to program it, but its easy to write programs that run slow as shit.
Especially if you graduated from an Indian street-corner university where they dont teach that.
