    Oh I definitely agree, I was just pointing out that they probably can update the player key without recalling them. The entire HD format is trying hang itself on DRM expecting it to work. It clearly is going to be a losing battle for them.

    In theory they could change the PS3 keys with an update i think
    Perhaps, i dont know enough though about the subject, but I assume they would just update they key and ps3s would have a new key

    The case is not about protecting sources so your point is moot.

    It is about withholding evidence, video tapes count as evidence, not sources.

    to be using telnet, and there hasnt been for about the last 5 years easily. I will say again, there is no VALID reason to use telnet. If you want to try and defend your use of telnet, I think you should spend the time looking for a new career in some riskier field because you apparently enjoy unnecessary risks. and that is all telnet is, an unnecessary risk, it has no place on a server, on a network, on a computer at all.

    I dont buy that arguement, first of all Openoffice vs MS office are so similar that any skills in one is directly translatable to the other without effort.

    It isnt like learning two completely different and contrary systems. they are damn near identical.

    Interesting indeed.

    There have been a few reports over the years of people going to jail for contempt for not handing over their key, so there has got to be some way of combating it. It is funny though, govts can collect and decipher amazing amounts but encryption allows people to totally stop them from figuring it out.

    what they need is an encryption app that can encrypt two sets of data in one jumble that can be decrypted with 2 keys, get the real vs the fake. get forced to reveal you give them a bunch of usenet erotica postings.

    Exactly, and although I will be the first to discuss issues and problems etc with real churches, trying to compare anything Scientology does to your regular Christian churches is simply insane.

    You obviously were not paying attention, they solicited donations (big deal?)
    They do not expect 1/10 of your pre-tax, they state you should give 1/10 pretax away including to the church but not limited to the church (ie be generous and give money to charity)

    I dont get how asking for donations is a big deal. You will not be asked to leave if you simply pass the plate on, trust me i have done it many times.

    I have never been to a catholic or lutheren church that required payment to enter and learn. Scientology requires you to pay up to learn. I have chosen to donate money at times, and I have chosen not too donate money at those catholic churches.

    Your comparison to Scientology is off base that it is laughable.

    The vast majority of religions that do not require payment. Most religions will teach the beliefs regardless of whether you cough up money. Some ask for donations but that is hardly on the same level as Scientology.

    he is SOMEwhat correct, because some companies are simply afraid of crossing the line they will only verify employment details such as dates worked and job details.

    But you still have some latitude particularly about fact based events.

    Even if you did sign something most of the time they are unenforceable.

    One company i worked for tried to claim that you couldnt ever work for a competing company, and you couldnt use any knowledge learned at that job...so wait i learned python so now i cant ever write a python script?

    That would not work in the blockbuster example in my state (unless you are in a unique position with trade secrets)
    basically unless you have extensive knowledge of secrets in wisconsin you cannot be limited from working for a competitor.

    Most contract stipulations are in fact illegal so it is not a big deal, they just put them in to scare people.

    The company cannot enforce provisions against you that interfere with your ability to make a living in your chosen profession, except under special circumstances, and even then it is a "you better keep secret what you know" sort of situation.
