    Now I will skip the britney spears part because I agree the amount of coverage was idiotic. even the masses agreed with that yet it was still pumped.

    Elvis was in a different category compared to cobain.

    I loved his music, but to call it a major story is definitely not something I would agree with
    His career was short, he was in a small genre of rock, he was honestly a bigger star after his death.

    Sorry but the failure to cover that story was pretty much right on. It wasnt of any significant importance. I was a fan of his but even can realize the fact that it was pop icon news and nothing more.

    Sport truely is dead if that is what is required to keep it even somewhat honest. It is fairly obvious that level of competition is nowhere close to being honest anyways.

    Seriously, the state of webmail is pretty sad. Is there any promising projects for a MODERN webmail system out there? (Not a full collab package, or a heavy HEAVY ajax system)

    OSS or closed source, it doesnt matter to me, just anything that is good. Squirrelmail is what I use right now, and well its ugly and it doesnt seem like they ever plan on making it look like a modern webmail client should.

    It would be completely appropriate punishment.

    This isnt about politics of OSS, but rather simple control of hardware on their network and making sure it is consistently running.

    Guess what can happen in the real world if you do that type of stuff? anywhere from nothing to finding a new job.

    I will repeat that, not all of africa is in a desperate struggle to simply survive.

    Many people on that huge continent have the basic needs of life met. The thing they need is education to further develop.

    People are really stupid when it comes to africa, they thing it is all starvation and death, and there is no one with the basic needs of life met.

    Do you honestly think it will work?

    First of all, most people wont implement epostage simply because they dont want to pay.

    Second of all, it would be trivial, it would take tens of seconds to write a script that automatically switches accounts. THe news constantly has reports regarding a "million accounts comprimised"

    I have full ebooks with 200+ pages and lots of photographs and diagrams. 400-600K
    That seems pretty decent.

    Yep, but it wont be the spammers account thats for sure. It will be a stolen account. a few million messages go out and thats it.

    the concept of epostage is just plain stupid with so many flaws there will be zero benefits.

    There already is money transactions for fraudulent and often times illegal products. The person the spammer paid to get access to the zombies. that is illegal already.

    The transactions already exist. the refusal to investigate/prosecute is the real problem. Spamming isnt the big issue, the illegal practices involved in sending spam are the real crimes. The old saying, we dont need new laws, we need to enforce existing laws.

    It only appears profitable. Sure for a few people it is. the rest are constantly replaced with people that think they will make big bucks

    Charge those assholes with the multiple felonies they are already committing and be done with it.
