What Happens when the book is hit while still on the shelf by a CD thief. I don't know how many times I've been looking at books and their CD's have been "Liberated" from them.

How do you finish a 10 chapter book you can only get 8 chapters of, or how do you read a CD in the John. These are questions the publishers should have asked themselves.

Thanks for the heads up, I know I'll be checking the last chapter in the next books I get!

Hold onto your hats boys and girls, we're going for a ride!!! I'm a lurker in the IPng Working Group mailing list and let me tell you this a "COOL THING" that IPv6 will be able to deliver. I'm talking about a new class of address called an ANYCAST address. Basicly you will be able to specify where you want to go and the anycast address will be used to find the "closest" address that is referenced by the ANYCAST address. This means that if I type in http://foo.bar/monkeypron.html my DNS will return an ANYCAST address that can be used to connect to the most available iteration of foo.bar and then I can get my monkeypron at blazing speeds. Now all we have to do is hope the IETF gets IPv6 out before we KILL the internet with those 100Mbit connections (where can I get one, DROOL!!!!!)

I have never read the bible, nor do i believe a word of it. While I do not agree entirely with the argument you are rebuting please consider at least looking at a Bible or a scholarly work on a biblical subject and reform your opinion. MANY of the events in the bible are established historical fact. The old testiment is one of the most complete histories of a people (Jews) available in modern times. Many events in the Bible have been varified by indepentant (and sometimes agnostic or athiest) historians.

Also remember that even if you don't believe in Satan, HE believes in YOU! (sorry to preach, I just love that phrase)

Regarding the morality of Country folk and christians: Remember that both of these communities (in their traditional sense) are close knit and everyone knows everyone else. This makes the raising of children in a moral fashion quite a bit easier since the kids are never able to get away with anything. Anyone who sees them doing what the community sees as wrong can say "I know who your mother is!" This is simply a system of accountability in which you cannot escape the consequences of your actions.

This I believe is what the poster is refering to as immorality. People who do not feel they are responsible for their own actions consistantly disregaurd the rights of thos around them in order to fulfill their own aims. The poster sees the internet as annother environment that encourages this.

Doubtless there were some people who knew this kid and knew that he would never do something like that, these would most likely have their opinion of typing rocked. Others probably also noticed what kind of person this was and actually started to think about the issue that they had never given it much thought.

I would encourage any students out there who fit the FBI school shooter profile to speak up! Show your parents, teachers, classmates, and school administrators that you are not a threat. Indeed, due to your inteligence and computer skills, you are a valuable asset to those around you that should be nurtured not monitored.

If all people hear are the tragedies from the media they tend to belive the worst. If there are hopefull stories coming down the grapevine or reported in local papers people tend to trust that things really aren't that bad.

This issue is frought with concerns and I do not belive that partial control of a cars systems is a wise idea. If you're going to do an autopilot, do it right!
