I like that idea, i think the actual costs would need to be adjusted, but this gives the little guy a chance, while ensuring that patents are used or dropped. Dont know if its the best option but its better than most
"it is said by some" or "critics say" is a tool used by all journalists. you cant say that is only a fox news thing. I know fox new is a fun and easy target, but seriously. this is something that happens on every network
doing anything based on one study is a bad idea. however there has not been any studies that show me beyond a reasonable doubt that it should be illegal. while there are studies going all the way back to 76 by the NIH (that was burried) that shows it was harmless, along with every study since.
now you might bring up the skitzo study, well that study only showed if you are predisposed to becoming skitzo, you are more likely to get it sooner if you use. (NOT that it causes it)
Or you might want to bring up the study that says people who use starting at a young age have learning issues. well to that I say we shouldnt be giving it to the kids so that study is pointless, no one is advocating that.
there is that route as well. I used to be the same way, i remember i think it was Jurassic park didnt come out on VHS for like 2 years after i saw it in theaters and i just hated waiting for it
now im older, there are 1000000 different things to do, i guess i dont mind waiting as much as i did when i was younger
After they came out in ebook form I threw out my collection of the hardcovers (the library didn’t want them) and bought them all in ebook format.
why not give them to schools??? or keep them. seems like a waste to throw them away. they will still be readable in 100 years, will the ebook? who knows
is that any different than when movie studios dont release DVD or streaming when in the theaters to prop up box office sales???
I think you are making a big deal out of nothing. does it suck to wait a little longer? yeah, but you have options, get the hardcover (which is still better than ebooks by a large margin IMO) or wait until the "first run" is over
first off, i like to wait until theres at least 100 reviews if its electronics with no more than 5-10% 1 star reviews
I throw out the 5s and the 1s, as they are almost always either fluff or people who dont know what their product was meant to do, or faulty equipment. i skim the 1s, but thats it just to see if a date range fits a bunch of faulty equipment, signaling a bad manufacturing batch.
I focus on the 2-4 star range, as these posts are usually thought out posts by people with a real want for the product, I expect to get much more honest answers in this range.
The Roanoke Colony, also known as the Lost Colony, established on Roanoke Island, in what is today's Dare County, North Carolina, United States, was a late 16th-century attempt by Queen Elizabeth I to establish a permanent English settlement. The enterprise was originally financed and organized by Sir Humphrey Gilbert, who drowned in 1583 during an aborted attempt to colonize St. John's, Newfoundland. Sir Humphrey Gilbert's half-brother, Sir Walter Raleigh, later gained his brother's charter from the Queen and subsequently executed the details of the charter through his delegates Ralph Lane and Richard Grenville, Raleigh's distant cousin.[1]
The final group of colonists disappeared during the Anglo-Spanish War, three years after the last shipment of supplies from England. Their disappearance gave rise to the nickname "The Lost Colony." To this day there has been no conclusive evidence as to what happened to the colonists.
Pointing out that man cuban people in miami speak spanish...which is true... is now ill informed and racist...really??? Is that what things have come to? Truth is racist?
on the one hand, i do understand not wanting to give up the locations you are working on so others dont publish before you do, or worse, grave robbers and other bad guys, but on the other hand you are right. crowd sourcing would make the type of work he is doing much easier
Every few years we read about long lost civilizations that were found by aerial footage. I remember a handfull of years ago people were using google earth to locate some. Its always interesting when the news comes out. but 99% of the time once its "found" thats the end of it for us, no more news ever comes out. Hopefully this will lead to some new findings
the situation in cuba only happened because of the USSR. an embargo made sense when the ussr was trying to smuggle nukes to cuba to use against us.
We trade with many countries with worse records than cuba (and i dont know the record since fidel died if his brother/son whatever is any better) like saudi arabia and china so why not lift the embargo???
the question to ask is simple. will lifting the embargo hurt americans? If the answer is no, lift it. if the answer is yes, explain it

it works for climate change, so why not?
key being "from childhood" I dont see anyone advocating children start using

ahh, thanks, I had thought he died a few years back, i never followed up on it, frankly could care less.
I still think they are not as bad as some countries we consider allies, as such the embargo should be lifted.
