clearly you dont live in NY, WAY worse than anywhere down south when it comes to crony capitalism. hell our governor is in some hot water now for starting a task force to curb corruption in politics....then canning the task force when they started investigating him... Fla is probably worse based on what I see in the news, but ill take north carolina or tenn politics over NY any day
except for we have not built a single new nuke power plant in how long? we have much better design than the ones that have melted down now. so you cant really make that argument
good points, the only issue is the liberty bell, its indoors now in the center of philly, it wouldnt be impossible to take out,but it wouldnt make any logical sense
and all of that was thought of ahead of time. there were fees tacked on the entire life of the unit specifically to pay for the decomish. its not as if they need to all of a sudden come up with that money
we dont know, perhaps some of these holdups are to try and work on stopping the long wave radar as well as short wave? i dont know, just hopeful i suppose
just because we are just finding out about them, when shipping has been happening for centuries kind of tells me that its not a bigger problem than anyone guessed as it hasnt shown to be a problem
fair enough of an argument, I in no way intended to say there was not a problem, I just dont want to see americans freak out over something that they are less likely of getting than they are of winning the lotto
Ebola, while a horrible deadly disease is not the doom and gloom its being made out to be for anyone not living in a 3rd world country., and even for those living in 3rd world countries for that matter. more people die in 1 month from the flu in africa (over 5 K from the last article i saw ) than they die from ebola last year. to put it in prospective, less than 1000 people died from it last year.
Unless you are literally playing in a sick persons bodily fluids, the risk is almost 0
heh, i didnt even check the original link, I just did a google of it for a link saw a slashdot link from 2010 and thought why not? but thats a valid point too, i recall some games that were arcade ports that were HORRIBLE ports...but box art had game play from the arcade versions. just wrong
maybe its not the scinece AC has a problem with but the medias portrayal of science, I know i have a problem with them reporting science wrong all the time. as i said, doom and gloom is "what works" its only a model DOES matter. I have models that show all sorts of things, but until proven thats all they are, models
corruption is still corruption.
you will excuse my skepticism when it comes to trusting thinkprogress.
Commercial PV is now cheaper than nuclear and highly competitive with both coal and NG turbines.
maybe you should have read a little lower on the front page before making that claim..... http://tech.slashdot.org/story...

not bad for working only 9 months a year
less people die from all nuke power than solar or wind individually

on 9/11 the terrorists actually flew past indian point nuke plant to get to the trade center

their JOB is to play with the sick persons fluids, get a clue of course doctors and nurses will be more likely to get it over others.

sure, and so if 480, if you are upgrading from B&W
go back even further, remember the atari games that would have box art that looked NOTHING like the game itself? http://games.slashdot.org/stor...
