I guess we will only know when someone does the hardware tear down price comparison. It's going to happen... but profit margin drives the price. It always will.
Excellent point on when... but that's a different argument since it will be released later this month per the leaked promo. I know the specs of the Xoom. I don't know the specs of the iPad2.
Personally I don't think the planned Xoom is a good deal. It is too expensive (for me...) But this has to be Moto's first round competitor priced towards the flagship iPad2. That is the goal. If you want a low tier tablet sub-$500 go somewhere else for now or wait for a stripped down Xoom. I'm sure it will come later since EVERYONE is posting about the price.
-All IMHO... I in no way have any product in sight.
Tell me where you can get a dual core 32gb 3g+wifi ipad with a higher resolution screen, hdmi out, two cameras, and a usb port for less than $800 and I will say this is a bad deal.
This is the flagship iPad2 competitor out the door before the iPad2.
Still waiting for the page to load...(thanks/.) But how can you beat an article about zombies from an "authoritative" source!?

FYI your linux logins on Ubuntu are stored in this file:/home/username/.config/google-chrome/Default/Login\ Data
just do "strings Login\ Data"
and you have those passwords.:(
I don't think you can get a Vanilla 2.6 kernel per se... but I'm pretty sure you can compile the kernels from source. Just check out all the kernels built for one of the popular custom ROMS Sapphire:

It really has to do with what hardware you have. My motherboard's onboard audio did not work well with FC5 (it was always really soft), so I loaded up Ubuntu and 3 hours later I had a working MythBox. I did have to compile IVTV and Lirc from source, which is not too hard. There are a lot of great tutorials on how to setup a build environment just for this!

Granted Gnome is over kill for the GUI, but it makes your system a lot more versatile.
I really like Ubuntu and it seems loads better to upgrade than FCX.
I'll probably upgrade this weekend, because I have been waiting patiently for the new MythTV 0.20 repositories! Woo Hoo!
Thanks so much for getting this exclusive interview with Billy West! I never miss a night without Futurama! So getting his interview for the afternoon was a plus!
Keep up the good work!
No i have the same problem. My Toshiba Satellite over heats all the time. One of my buddies even had to place a half inch thick piece of aluminum plate metal underneath his HP in order to keep it from crashing.

There are quite a few greasemonkey scripts out there that modify iGoogle. Just do a search for iGoogle on userscripts.org
Personally, I use "Super iGoogle - Mod"
I hate the way the search bar header and the tabs use up vital real estate, so this script gets rid of both with a toggle link called Toogle.
Are you that incompetent of a Linux user that you cannot type: su passwd mythtv I mean even man passwd could have done you good.

Also with the E815 and just about every EVDO phone you can simply use a USB data cable... so... a USB EVDO connection isn't really news?!
cheese it!
