    Agreed. I don't understand why so many people on /. have to be so antagonistic and so keen on proving others wrong.

    It may surprise many but over here in the Middle East, Nintendo's Wii has not gathered as much interest as Sony's PS3. I'm an admitted Sony hater but I can understand why others might like the brand. Nevertheless, it really doesn't make any sense to me why so many supposed gamers have not even glanced at what Wii can do.

    Other than that, I disagree that this will be the worst gadget Christmas ever. The Fine Article is actually rather short and lists only a few disappointments- none of which I was interested in anyway. I'm planning on getting two Wiis, some DS games, a new mouse, and maybe a new PC for my parents.

    Care to share your hardware config? I've had no problems on any of my three installs and two LiveCD runs on separate systems.

    The UAE spaceport, planned to be located less than an hour drive from Dubai, already has commitments for $30 million (USD).

    The only way you could make it to RAK from Dubai in under an hour is if you strapped a rocket to your car. Then again, the way people drive over here...

    The Persian Gulf scenes in the movie were filmed in Dubai. The landmarks that would be easiest to recognize were the Trade Center, Shangri-La Hotel and much of Sheikh Zayed Road.
