This is the TRUTH. In fact I did exactly this. I thought I would try out "business" for something new and hit on a huge gravy train.
I went from being an average/slightly above average software developer to a superstar business programmer/analyst.
Svery simple concepts like cron and CVS were unheard of, and by scheduling jobs and automatically sending out reports/trigger based warnings etc.. I'm able to easily appear like I'm doing the work of several other business analysts that still manually enter numbers into Excel reports (OMG!). I try teaching others here, but many people on the business side really just don't get it.
The biggest problem I have had so far is getting IT to understand that I know what the hell I'm doing and should have access to proper tools (e.g. SAS, SQL+, a UNIX box so I can schedule, and allowing me to run scripts that I've written on my own computer).
It may not be as challenging as pure software development, but it sure pays a lot more.
Learning the business is very easy and can be done by paying careful attention in meetings for the first few months on the job. I have great people skills and am very social, so I found this very easy.

At my company it's to make up for yearly shortfalls and to show Wall Street that we're doing something about the downward slide we've taken recently. I believe layoffs are also often done around this time to balance out the spreadsheets for next year. Sucks...
The WOW Bank system on the other hand rocks. A faction bank is really the only purpose for a faction house IMO. It's not like you're really going to hang out at the "house". That would be sooo boring.
In the U.S. regular cage fights are 3 rounds, with championship fights being 5 rounds. There are no 10 round cage fights that I am aware of anywhere in the world.
Some dogs also get a very itchy ass because their scent glands are filled up. My dog has to get his scent glands cleaned out every vet visit. He definately doesn't have worms, he's just prone to it (been tested many times).
Since I've gotten into watching Vale Tudo/MMA (most people know this as UFC, which is really just a brand name) all other sports seem boring. I just can't get excited about how well a guy swings a bat when I can watch what I consider to be the ultimate competition.
I visited my sister who was teaching english there for two weeks, so my opinion is purely based on the local region (Takanabe) and the short time I spent there. I have to agree with the statement that the Japanese work long but not hard.
The children seemed to be raised by the state. They would go to school early. Stay until around 5pm, then go home for dinner. After dinner they would go right back to school for sports or to a crunch school like Kumon. They would then come home late to chores etc, go to sleep and repeat.
The same schedule was held by the workers, except they seemed to go back to work after dinner. I'm not sure if everyone did this.
The businesses I visited really seemed to take a lot of breaks. The environment was always jovial, and there didn't seem to be much pressure to perform. This could of course be very skewed by my presence. It is rare to have foreigners visiting small towns in Japan. I'm also 6 feet tall and 200 lbs so to them I was huge.
Maybe someone else who has more experience can fill in the blanks?
I'm guessing it was this lady.... (from a whois query)

I don't believe that the super rich earned their money. They either got lucky or swindled others out of their money. Often a combination of both.
Quite often the super rich are born into their money, and never contribute anything of value.

They feel toughness is empowering.
Toughness and violence is empowering.
I think many kids today don't have a real enough perception of violence or toughness. One must understand a problem before being able to solve it.
who cares about player housing?
Every time I've seen it done it has sucked.

damn, that is a good idea. I wish it would happen.

fyi... It's spelled "fiancee". It's probably pretty important to her.
do you have any links to back that up?
I find it hard to believe that.
I'm sure there are thousands of others who have made the same mistake. Albeit, maybe not on the same scale as you.
I'm guessing it was this lady....
