Once you give it to the community, your say on it need not be honoured. You relinquish 100% of the rights on it and developers should be able to do whatever they want. Build products or SELL services etc without being sued.
The lyrics is changing often in Baldy's school of music, from Developers, Developers & Developers to Subscribers, Subscribers & Subscribers - then threw a chair at them;-)
What about the future of 5,000 human workers?
Relocate to Redmond, where they are still sought after only to push the housing prices higher in NW OR Relocate to Infosys which is seeking all kinds of Geeks in India & China.
Bill & Meg are at the opposite ends of spectrum. Bill has always belived in Developers and wants to Develop Products and Portals(After MSN was put into Windows group). Meg a deal maker doesn't understand product development and blew few billion dollars on a third rate product called, Skype.
Bill's merger with Meg would make MSFT priceless.
Could it be because Dell sucks and people are sick and tired of calling tech support only to speak with someone they can barely understand from India who claims his name is "Bill".
Silly, it's because DELL failed to embrace AMD. I have personally benchmarked Intel & AMD chips using C++ Conformance suite(Perennial, Plumhall & Dinkumware) and AMD simply rocked. FYI, HP customer support is also in India:)
Just like how Google is unveiling Writely, the Web Word Processor, which is speculated to be a cool and different from our routine MS-Word, so also, for the Mobile space it will be a totally different app. My experience suggests that its not just "e-", "v-", or "m-" nabling of technologies, it has to undergo some kind of transformation to be cool to use which ultimately makes it HOT in the market.
Finally, I don't think US is the best market for m-search & commerce. With just 207 Million subscribers in the US at the end of 2005, it is way behind the number subscribers in the East(Japan, China, Malaysia and India). The East and the Europe have worldclass 3G & 4G infrastructure with highly affordable subscription rates for the mobile savvy consumers. While for the internet era, it was the opposite. I guess Mobile 1.0/2.0 is a whole different game than Web 1.0 and Web 2.0.
Bob is not a man whom you can rely on. Just because he ain't getting nothing he is whining like a kid. Bob, your organisation enforces a law which I haven't seen into enforcement by any other registrar. As quoted by your office, ...As you are aware, we have modified our transfer-away policy to prevent transfer if registration contact information has changed within 60 days of the request...

Bob's game plan, start being good with customers initially and once the business grows he is worse than NETSOL.
Last week, Google Inc. (GOOG) and EarthLink Inc. (ELNK) became the leading bidders for building a Wi-Fi network in San Francisco, a project that would make it the largest city in the nation to offer a free service.
Google has also invested in Fon an open wireless initiative to encourage deployment of Foneros. Google game plans are quite hard to understand
I am not sure where I have read, Gigaom or some other Blog, that Japanese company DoCoMo will leave no stone unturned to kill VoIP based Mobile technology in Japan as they have invested heavily in deploying 4G networks. Well, the Asian (not quite sure of the EU) telecom market is already dirt cheap and I wonder why would VoIP Cell or Mobile phones be sought there, silly, to make it still cheaper ? FREE ? But Asians are cell savvy and look for value added services rather than prices. Quite an interesting puzzle for telecom strategists;-)
Bill has made it clear that he wants Developers not Deal Makers nor Manufacturers. Speculating MS buying Sony is such a waste of time unless Microsoft is lost in its directions again;-)
Most of you here expect GOOG to enter DJIA. No not so soon. Any Dow component is a fully matured company, in other words their growth is limited to less than 9%. I really don't want GOOG to be one of those. Let it continue to grow at 40-50% a year:-)
GoDaddy is known only for their controversial superbowl ads. They are one of the worst registrars. I was transferring 3 domains away from them to 1and1.com and they put some ir-rational clause saying the domains were last updated(My Address) within the past 30 days and refused to transfer 2 of the domains. ICANN doesn't enforce that law. I called their president's office fought with them as to why did they let one domain transfer go through and held the other two ? They had no answer. Looks like their must be some BUG in their software, apparently easier to blame Microsoft for the same;-)
In school, I had read a paper on qualifying software tools for use in US Military and Airforce. Specifically the compiler, used to build software should be certified at D0-178B(I think) standards. Myearliest lesson was if the tools used to build software were poor, then the software built using those tools could never be better. Likewise, VISTA would have created history for being the most expensive software project that failed to take off. And finally, fire Cutler & Allchin;-)
About a dozen American citizens are jailed or detained il-legally in China. And congressmen don't think this is an important issue to take up with the Chinese ?

If Google pulls out of China, what about Dr.KaiFu-Lee ? Is he relocating to Redmond ;-)

Indeed, that might make a headline if slashdot moderators are not moderated soon ;-)

I believe IPValue controls 8000 patents(Not positive on the number).

Are you nuts ? Except the fact that Dr Eric Schmidt worked for Sun, their is no synergy in both the companies merging.

11.8 Million constitutes 5% of the market share which is legal. Pirated 95% is Pricless ;-)

Check out my blog http://convergence.in/blog/archives/18 This is sold on Rediff.com(Google of India, Courtesy: Jim Cramer) LOL.
So is Microsoft first going to hire Donald trump to fire the accountable managers ;-)

I thought MS was migrating its customers to C# or J# ?
Is it true that Microsoft doesn't allow GDS to be installed on their corporate machines ?
